A Kid's Tale

What's the first and most important school for humans to learn? That's our family/home. The family environment plays the most significant role in shaping overall growth. After family, there comes society, school, and many other factors. Humans are bound to make mistakes, but the lesson learned from the incident is what matters the most to rectify.

Today I encountered an incident that was so unpleasant that I got super pissed on seeing that but couldn’t protest anything as that was a different locality and I knew none of them. So I had chosen not to interfere as there was a chance of another mess.

From the third floor of a building, a kid threw a garbage type of something through the window that fell into someone else's courtyard. This is bad, that a child's upbringing should have contained these certain things that are not a good habit, not acceptable at all. The owner of the other house got mad and started yelling at them for making his courtyard dirty, it's quite obvious to get mad but up to a certain level, right? I guess it depends. So the next thing he did was that he called that parent down to clean the waste their child had thrown, isn’t it humiliating? I don't know if it was done before or not but seeing this I felt that's quite an embarrassing thing.

They were polite enough to come down and clean that. There is a huge difference in their social status and that's why he could grab them tightly and kept yelling non-stop until they cleaned it. After returning home, they punished the kid for doing that and forbade him from repeating such things. I heard the screams of the kid, looks like the parents vented out their humiliation over the kid pretty badly.

Now you tell me, whom to blame specifically? To those parents who haven't taught these beforehand and on top of that vented out their frustrations through beating the kid? Or to the owner who was angry with the act and was yelling but went above a certain limit to bring down the parents and made them face that embarrassing stuff? I would say all of them, no one is doing anything properly, crossing the borders and making the upbringing of that kid pretty much worse.

Etiquette and manners should be taught more and more, good habits should be practised on a regular basis. Everything won't be perfect, there is always a second chance to learn from the mistakes. Even the mistakes have their own ways to be handled properly, making things worse is not a good practice, effects of them are deadly in the long run.

I am pretty sure that the kid won't repeat this ever again but the effect of this incident would be a negative one. The relationship between the two families has got worse, the kid will see that man as a bad one, also getting inappropriately beaten by the parents is never a good thing for a kid's upbringing. The whole scenario has made me sad at the end because such incidents at this young age last long, effects of them are long-lasting too.

Just like today too. I asked a kid about her mum and she said something negative which means that her mum or every other people around her say things like that…
Kids didn’t bring some particular behaviors from heaven. They learnt it from their parents…

Exactly!
If not proper attention is paid then things can really get worse in the future with no way back to fix.
Thank you for stopping by.

Yeah, the chain of incident is actually bad. But I believe kids need to be corrected in a simple and polite way. Well, I think it is up to the parents to correct their children and teach them what is right. I also faced this problem when my neighbors' kids throw trash into my compound it can get frustrating when parents do nothing to curb their children and maybe that why the owner of the house was extremely angry.

Yes, repeated mistakes are really frustrating, but once or twice are forgivable with a scope to teach them the lessons of what good or bad to do. As I mentioned, things could have been handled more politely wherease they crossed the lines.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts as well.
