Curiosity - Exploration - Hectic Journey

Curiosity leads to the unknown, helps to discover new paths, and gives us the opportunity to experience things that we haven't before. We did spend such a day yesterday; it was complete madness to try such things. On that journey, I was the experienced person who had gone through the journey before and I had warned the others of the hassle ahead of us. But the curiosity among them was not reduced by an inch, and they made the journey toward the unknown.

Actually, the context is that the picture you are seeing is from a road that is connected to another Upazila through the middle of nowhere; the construction work is in progress; they are almost done; all they need is to give the final touch for the road to become ready for mass transportation. People can still travel, but the roads are not properly constructed, so the under-constructed roads are always hectic to travel through. Those who are in an emergency are using this road as they have a bigger motive to achieve. I went through this way multiple times via bikes, and from my experiences, I was warning them not to proceed as we were traveling via rickshaw this time. Yeah, we had two rickshaws (luckily they run on motor here) to travel with us for several hours wherever we wanna go. So why not move towards the unknown before the majority of the people conquer?

To be honest, the starting roads and two bridges are beautiful spots to spend some time in. Barren fields everywhere, no touch of human civilization for miles. People who live in the cage are bound to get lost in these scenes, and I had a few caged birds (my nephews) from Dhaka with me, who were the most interested guys for the exploration of the unknown. Whenever they travel to my city, they would always set out for traveling as far as they can; they love to enjoy the rides through completely different scenarios from their day-to-day lives.

After traveling 1 km, the roads started to get worse; the picture you are seeing above is from that first one km which is smooth and fine. And then we traveled almost seven km more at the end of this unknown road which led us to the next upazila for which the road was intended to be built. This road would bring a total distance of 35 km to just 9 km. Now we were in a dilemma; we have come through this hectic road and have conquered the unknown; now, should we return from the same way? Or travel almost 25km more to home? Which is 3x the distance we had just come but the roads are good, a comfortable journey, the only problem is the distance.

No one dared to go back from this hectic road we had just finished; so many bumps and damaged portions that our bodies had started to curse on the way. We choose to travel 25 km instead of 9km, hehe. Anyone would call us crazy for such a hectic journey but trust me, the second portion was amazing, the roads were smooth, and that upazila we were traveling through is called the heaven of fruits in my city. Though the summer fruits are yet to come, we have seen jackfruits being ready to be traded. In a month or two, we're gonna come to that place again, obviously through the better way, or if the roads get mended before that.

Now for my country people, if anyone is reading, what's your longest rickshaw ride? Have you gone beyond anything like 35 km, have you? We were on the ride for almost four hours including all the short breaks we had taken to rest. Don't ask how much we paid, hehe. One of the most hectic yet memorable journeys by far I had experienced. Now I am in bed, the whole body is reminding me of yesterday, lol.
