Good Mood, Good Life

Moods can be influenced by many things, sometimes they just get disturbed by nothing, and for no specific cause, it just gets worse. Different people have their own ways of dealing with spoiled moods, some may find it relatable to one another and in some cases, some get really wild with their activities. Whatever works for someone might not be the case for another. So what are my ways to deal with them?

Let's begin with the most common one that has been serving me to cool down for years. That's a walk to any isolated place, mostly getting lost in nature. Yeah, there are many places in my locality where I can easily go and sit for some time, away from the city crowd. No violence or the contaminated air, maybe a riverside place that refreshes me with its breeze. Or sometimes just aimlessly walking and resting beneath giant trees. Yeah, isolation helps me to calm down, to think about what's happening and what to do. Getting a short break from my monotonous daily routine really helps me to get my mood charged.

Now, let's move forward to the most effective one, closest to my heart, but a gone case now. To fix my moods, the most effective one was to watch movies. Yeah, here in this one, all you need is to pick a good movie according to the preferred mood you wanna have, a good pick is always going to hit the bull's eye. At least for me, it has worked flawlessly hundreds of times. It's a gone case now as it's been a year since I stopped watching movies, lack of enough time or the priorities have changed, whatever the reason this one is the best one so far for me. Try it out if you haven’t already.

Let's have something sweet, a sweet one that should be practiced by all of us. I have a very soft corner in my heart for food, yeah. So often, my spoiled mood starts cravings for delicious foods. I can easily go out with friends to any restaurant, right? Instead of this, I prefer to do that with my family. I go to my mother and tell her to make this dish, sometimes I might go to the market and buy her some of the missing ingredients or sometimes I just bring the restaurant foods at home to enjoy with the family members. It doubles the joy and strengthens the family bonding for sure. This one works sweetly as well to cheer up my mood.

Last but not least, I used to hang out a lot with my friends. So it used to be a way of activity to bring my mood back on track. But guess what, the number of weekly hangouts at those times is more than the ones I have had in months. Yeah, things have changed, life has stopped being so generous to let me fly carelessly. So no more hangouts, what now? Instead of that, now I get disconnected within my own place. I would put my phone on silent, turn off the vibration and wifi, and go to bed. Turning off the lights I just close my eyes. I would stay flat or however I feel comfortable and stay like that. All the events start flashing before my eyes, and keeping them aside I just try to calm my mind that everything is normal, and there are ways to fix it or to do better. A short phase like this does work like a charm to give me a refreshing start in most cases.

So yeah, these are some of the activities that I prefer to engage in in case of conflicts that take place with my mood. If the mood is spoiled then everything else seems to be awful, nothing gets synced and the day is ruined. So this is how I save my ass, would like to hear your opinions too.

I can relate with that of hanging out. I do it a lot. Once I am in a bad mood, I like finding myself around people, to share how I feel and get some words of encouragement. It works for me very well.

I love that of going to a quiet place to reflect on my mood and the way forward. I haven't tried it though.

Nice choices. I agree with you, a good movie will always do the trick. But then sometimes it's difficult finding the perfect one to watch.

Food is another amazing choice, it never fails to put a smile on faces.

But then sometimes it's difficult finding the perfect one to watch.

True indeed,
It takes time to dig out the suitable one but whatever I pick, I do watch that with much eagerness because that's also a creation of someone, moreover I won't be picking absolute trash for sure, lol.

Thank you for stopping by.

Most times, I also walk to an isolated place and it helps me to cool down because I get to talk to myself and I am able to keep my company
I love it that way

Nothing more encouraging than eating delicious food that tastes like love to deal with undesirable states 😋🥳 Just like you I find going out and having contact with nature, hugging a tree is great, feeling the fresh breeze is amazing. They are real antidotes against a rough patch.

Loved reading you 👏👏👏👏👏👏
