He Came to Meet.
"10 years! Exactly 10 years have gone since we met. Where were you? No contact with any of us, we missed you so much."
Rafayel got to meet again with his friend, one of the best friends he got in his life. Actually, they were four best friends and one of them got completely detached after university life. Four of them walked towards different ways, busy schedules of life didn't give any opportunities for them to feel the urge to make a reunion. But he is delighted, he got to see and meet the other two often but Ritesh was completely out of anyone's reach. Finally, he is here.
So he took a leave from the workplace and today's date is for the name of an old friendship. They set out for their most memorable place, their university. That's the place where these four spent the most precious moments of their life. That's where everything had started and in the end, that's the place from where they set out for different destinations riding the bus of life. Walking through the roads and remembering those beautiful days, that tea stall is still standing under the big tree and the taste is still full of a special feeling.
"He is mostly interested in my life, asking how everything is going and what the others are doing. He was lost for the f*** 10 years and instead of telling his ones, he is just concerned about us. Well, he was always caring for others. I still remember him playing with dogs and cats. Yeah, he was an animal lover too. I was teasing him by pointing towards a dog and asking him to call, it won't even respond to a stranger or come to him now. No, it did and sat beside our legs just like his old pets. We were like recreating our old memories and sinking into them, the golden ones I still cherish. In ten years many things have changed physically but the feelings for this institute are the same. I wish the rest of the two morons were here too."
Rafayel tried to call the other two to share the happiness of finding Ritesh but he stopped, he wanted to surprise the other two the same way he jumped in here with Rafayel. Okay, that's a good idea too and he didn't want to spoil the fun. But he tried to make a promise that they would meet together once again, four of them in a place, having the old fun once again. That's a sweet and precious plan. The day was spent well for both of them while taking farewell both of them knew about the uncertainty of crossing their paths once again. Rafayel had a clear idea that Ritesh would disappear once again, he would be detached after this meeting, and couldn't even know the reason behind it.
The same thing happened. Ritesh is nowhere in their contacts again. After a few months they got a good news, it was about a reunion program of their batch. Ah! Everyone will surely try to take a break from their mechanical life and jump into the ride of uni life. Rafayel thought so too, he will have everyone and hopefully Ritesh too. So the day came, so many old faces but everyone was in search of their preferred faces. Three pieces were in their place only the piece named Ritesh wasn't there. They talked about him, surprisingly Ritesh met with them just like Rafayel. He did as he said that he would give all of them a surprise meeting. But he should have come here, meet with all of us at once.
"We were having chit-chats with every friend we knew but one of the conversations tore us apart completely. The happy moments of the three of us turned pale within a few seconds and everything was feeling fake. The conversation was started by a friend who lives in the same village as Ritesh. He was trying to give us sympathy for Ritesh's death. Yeah, we didn't know that Ritesh is no more, that too more than a year ago from now. How can this be possible? He met with us exactly on the date of his death after one year, we weren't able to take that. Ritesh was mentally sick due to an unknown disease and his family was completely detached from everyone. One month before his death they returned to their village and he took his last breath there, that's the summary we got from the friend."
Three of them started walking through the same roads they walked with Ritesh a few months ago. Was trying to make themselves believe if that was a reality or just an illusion. They just knew one thing that Ritesh had come, he met with every one of them and that's all they got.
