Its About the Journey
In childhood, we often face a simple question: what's your aim in life? Most of us had the same answer: always taught to chase the most esteemed professions in society. Also, we had compositions to memorize on this, one or two specific professions, with their positivities, so it was quite easy for us to set that aim as we were molded towards them.
Soon, things start to change; the ending is nothing without the journey. Endings might not portray the bigger picture, but when we do dive into the journey, we get to see the actual scenario. Many around me have already sailed for their journey; I have done so too, as per my preferences I had chosen what I felt was suitable for me. Yet, many of us won't make it till the end, would sink midway for sure, and might need to sail for new endings as well from there, some would make it again and some wouldn't. So, the endings are nothing without the journey; it's a key factor that determines whether the ending is pleasurable for us or not.
Many of us just look at the ending, not even thinking about how the next journey is gonna be. Will that be enjoyable or just a journey with regrets? Yeah, I have seen many who live in an illusion created by the society and rush for some glorified goals, but once achieved, they don't find it as appealing as they had thought it would be. That's where the illusions start to fall apart.
So it's not always about what we wanna achieve; it's about the journey before and after the achievement, on how to reach that level and move forward carrying that on our back.
For example, I would love to lead a certain lifestyle, a few comforts I would be looking for in myself, and maybe a few priorities that I wanna have in my life. But can I get those on anything I pick blindly? Nope, nor will I get them exactly how I want on my chosen path as well; it's about balancing and calculating the priorities to chase. So, all I wanted to portray here is that it's not just the ending or goal we should be aiming for blindly; we should be looking at the journey as well to make it worth chasing. Otherwise, regrets are there to lead us ahead with no way back.
Have a great day,
Take care.

It is actually surprising that my childhood aim never changed at all. Well, I have not achieved it but I'm gradually working towards it and I hope to achieve it
Damn!! it's amazing,
Best of luck with the journey.... May you achieve it soon.
In my case, I didn't have any goal for my profession after started to understand. I just wanted to focus on studying and I did it. For a little time I wanted to be psychologist but later I drop the idea for some reason. I think we should leave something on our fate also.
As per our country's perspective, we cant stick to them either unless we have lots of money to chase whatever we want by that.
