Soft Copy to Hard Copy

Every day, I need to sit before the monitor screens for a long time, and there is another one, a mobile phone. So, if I make a rough guess, then almost 70-80% of my daily time is spent while looking at screens, obviously when my eyes are open. I just wanna forget the long-term effects it may have on me because I just can't get rid of it. It's not a choice for me, it's a must thing to do.

So, I was trying to look for ways to reduce the screen time. Social media addiction is an easy target to choose but the hardest one to win over. I am trying my best to keep that in control; what's next?

Well, I read a lot of Articles, files that are in PDF formats, and a few that are read many times, perhaps. Well, I don't read stories; those are some kinda tutorial-type notes that I need to go through multiple times. What I did was I printed a book around six months ago that reduced my screen time a lot, maybe one hour per day if I needed to read that. That was a book of tutorial types, so it took a long to complete. Then, I printed some notes as well, around 60 pages, just a couple of months ago. Whenever I feel like my eyes are hurting, I take a break to heal and then sit with those notes instead of looking at the screens. Today, I have printed more; this time, it would be around 50 pages, hehehe. I am telling you again that these are not stories that I would be done with ten to twenty pages in one go. These are some technical shits, explanatory stuff with codes, theories, etc. Being a dumbass, I need to go through them multiple times to have a good grasp of the topics.

Will you listen to one of my plans? I have plans to buy a printer myself, for my personal use. Not now, because that's quite above my budget right now. Well, I need to read a lot of articles, many of which I keep bookmarked and go through multiple times for multiple reasons. So, if I get a printer for myself, maybe I could print ten pages daily to read, which might reduce one or two hours of screen time daily. Let's calculate the cost. I know financially it might not be so advisable, but what about the stress on my eyes? What about them?? The suffering and medication costs won't be less than the amount I am planning to spend. I think it is, in fact, more beneficial for me. The truth is, my eyes are already hurting, and that triggered me to write down this, as some of you may relate the same.

Lemme tell you something that you might try when you take short breaks from the electronics. Take a deep breath and sit for a moment, being isolated from the happenings all around you; now see how life is going, closing your eyes. Good, bad, or the worst, just dive deep and figure out what to do.

Wow 70-80% time spent on screens, hope you are using blue eye glass to protect the ray of light that flows to your eyes daily

I used to have an Anti-blue lens, it broke months ago. Well, my monitors have Blue Light Filter protections that work amazing too and that's why I didn't bother getting another eyeglasses.

Sometimes what I do to get away from the screen is to play and dance lol...it's so addictive and if one isn't calculative enough they will spend most of the days there.

Getting a printer ain't a bad ideas but the cost is the problem though but when you weigh the consequences of having an eye problem and the later bills and so forth, I think getting a printer would be better.

Healthcare is paramount because they are the engines that keeps us going.

Play and dance? Pretty cool idea to spend time with. I guess dance is not my thing but yeah, I can convert that with a little bit of exercise. Not a bad idea, would love to try that and include it in my daily routine.

Thank you for stopping by.
