This or That

AI is the future, AI is the threat, and many more positive and negative thoughts on it. Some are making use of it at their fullest instead of engaging in any controversial topics and some are just sitting and seeing themselves doomed. Yes, the world is changing constantly, you can't survive with what you had mastered years ago if you don't keep yourself updated with the things that are getting released every day or tomorrow to make things a little bit easier.

We know the debate, controversies, and positive and negative aspects as well. Also, we know how AI might help us or make us suffer, it's on us how we are going to respond or just see ruining things.

But have you witnessed the effects of AI on our lives or on someone positively or negatively by yourself? I have, that too pretty clearly, just the story of yesterday. I know a photographer who has been into content creation recently. He has some good cameras, drones, and stuff like that to work with the best stuff to bring out the best results. Over the years, I have seen him growing little by little, presenting amazing creations that suppress the previous ones.

So recently, he might have been working on astrography, was capturing Milky Way photographs, and light trails. Those who are in such a field know the struggle to reach perfection that might be beyond the imagination of an average viewer like me. As I have been seeing him from time to time with his work and struggle, I do know how much effort he had made to make this work perfect. But the fun fact is, that those who have close to zero knowledge about actual photography have made some comments on how they can easily make such pictures with the help of AI. His picture was so professional and perfect, some even said it was created with the help of AI and some did upload some AI-created pictures.

Later, he did post a status stating how frustrating this is to see his hard worked creation compared with some easy-to-generative AI photos or to compare with the editing features that are artificial. This way, the real creators will vanish, and they won't feel the urge to go out in search of some perfect shots. They won't search for perfection in the real world, all we will be drowned with artificial stuff. This is the terror of AI that we were anticipating to come, to challenge some manual stuff.

Maybe with the advancement of AI, the generated contents may seem appealing but can they beat the real stuff? No matter how much you go for the artificial stuff, the feel and value of the real ones are always going to hit harder. The same goes with the Virtual Reality stuff, doesn’t it feel so real to go anywhere? But can it defeat the feeling of actually being there? Never.

Once I had visited a place that I had cherished for a long, watched tons of videos and pictures, and investigated every corner without even visiting. The day when I actually did visit, I could cover only a few portions but trust me, the first few minutes, when the cool breeze touched me I was like, “Ah, why I haven’t been here earlier, it feels so amazing, so alive.” The same goes for other stuff as well, in one way or the other.

People are not even patronizing photographers or writers like before. Clients now prefer to generate something from the AI instead of human being
It is really crazy and I don’t like that direction the world is going

Yes, this is alarming.
No matter how good they become, a human touch is always mandatory.
Thank you for stopping by.
