I don't know why I can't control my anger when someone doesn’t listen to my instructions properly and makes the same mistakes that I was instructing on how to overcome. There will always be some people who skim through everything even when it is mandatory to pay attention to each and every detail.

This is the middle of the night and I was trying to teach someone maths for the last two hours. Guess what, I was so successful that I am having severe headaches now. Isn’t it beautiful? Hope you have already guessed how stressful it went.

So the start was like someone approached me to help her solve ten maths but I figured out her basic is very weak and she is expecting to sit for an exam on this particular topic. She will likely be having these particular ten maths, which were given by the teacher while teaching them the rules, so let's repeat them again.

Whenever I undertake something I try to fulfill it with full responsibility and dedication so I aimed to clear this topic for her from A to Z. To do so, I picked maths, solved this, and made her understand step by step. We were doing that through remote communication. Now shouldn’t she attempt to practise a few similar maths? Even before I instruct her to repeat it, she goes to solve the next ones given by the teacher, which are a little more complex than the previous one. Oh, guess what, she attempts to do that even before my instructions and makes the same mistakes that would have been cleared if she had practiced the last one properly. The same thing is continued, she makes mistakes, I fix them, and she moves on to the next math without practicing this one again with a fresh one to understand the whole thing properly.

In my life, I have seen very few teachers who are really patient enough to demonstrate the same thing over and over again as long as the student doesn’t understand that and asks for a solution. I don't have problem with that too but when the students aren’t paying attention to the instructions and rules I am stating and making the same mistake that I have just stated makes me angry. It's her negligence to pay proper attention to all the instructions that made her make this mistake again, maybe it was the third time for the same mistake when I finally told her enough for tonight and scheduled for tomorrow morning. I guess her head is congested with the whole day's stuff also the nighttime isn’t the ideal time for doing maths.

Let's see what's waiting for me tomorrow morning. Right now, all I am ranting about is my two hours and the added headache I got in return for free.

I’m a teacher and we all have our ways of teaching but I don’t think I am very calm to be teaching someone one particular thing over and over again

If that person really can't understand then we should and if it's due to their negligence then it's frustrating for sure.
