Weekends to Mention | 2023

I was scrolling through my photo gallery, watching the moments that I had lived, mostly happy ones that I had captured, same for everyone else, right? Our gallery contains mostly happy moments. So going back to 2023 was a pleasing ride, with so many good moments. I felt like I hadn't had many enjoyable weekends but at the end of the year, now that I am scrolling back, I do see I have had more than I was thinking, unexpected ones are the best ones.

The Best One

So if I am to portray the best weekend then I must announce the recent Cox's Bazar one, because this one is the biggest and most unexpected one that gave me the best days for this year. 2023 was not an easy one for me, especially since the months in the middle were worse than I had ever expected, somehow managed and survived.

Look at this seaview, an endless vision, sometimes life is like this, no ending point, just endless things. The most thrilling part was the journey time, midnight. At around 1.00 AM I started my train journey and then bus journey during the sunrise. For the first time, I did enjoy this. Previously I was so dead asleep that I couldn’t enjoy anything when the daylight appeared and woke up after reaching the destination, this time I was awake throughout the whole journey.

In 2022, I watched a sunrise here that was superb. I missed the sunrise this year but I got the chance to watch the sunset, so beautiful.

Only these views that made this one the best? Nope, this one was full of activities, we moved from one place to another and tried different types of food that's only available here, the most traditional ones as well. Made memories that would last long, also it was regarding a special day that will be remembered till the last breath and that's why this one marks the best weekend for 2023. Not so detailed as this was too personal memories but yeah, this is the best weekend I wanna mark as.

Challenging One

The challenging one was once when I undertook the planning of a family outing on a weekend where I messed up pretty badly and somehow saved the weekend. So we had planned for a place, a park which was nearly 20 K.M. away from our place, so we traveled for a long time to reach that destination, which was a part of our day tour. There was lots of activity and I had praised the place so much that everyone's expectations were at their peak.

Guess what, due to some unexpected reason they were out of service for that weekend and they had announced this through their social media which I haven’t come across. I haven’t thought of anything like this so I haven’t double-checked anything of this sort before going. Can you imagine the disappointment on their faces? I was feeling guilty, also there was nothing worth visiting nearby. Nor no time left enough to plan something new because we were in a remote place and it was not possible to get out of it and set out for a new place, everyone’s mood was ruined.

I took a deep breath, thought of what to do, went to social media, and started digging about this remote place and its nearby areas. I was expecting some hidden gems that are not so popular or haven’t been discovered by the mass crowd. There are always a few spots that feel like hidden gems.

We tried an underrated village tea, the taste of that is scarce in our places. Showed them some scenic village sceneries that were enough for their photo sessions, and also gave some unexpected breaks for some activities that they hadn't experienced before like fishing boats that just came to the river banks and the fishermen were collecting them. Now you tell me, weren't these some wholesome experiences as they have just seen them in books and now got to see them in reality?

So this was challenging, might not be too challenging but this is what it is I can remember from the 2023 diaries.

Btw guys, by the time I am posting this one, it's already 2024. Happy New Year, wish you guys a great year ahead.
