Outstanding Minimalists Blogs for the week, in no particular order.

Bringing Balance Into My Life by @trucklife-family

As much as I love being a mother, it can get really challenging and unless I know, how and when to take the time to look after myself, to listen to my body, I can easily get burnt out. There is a warrior within me, that always tries to push on through, when times get tough, even when I feel like everything is caving in on me. My ninja sword comes out and it can be hard to put that damn thing away.

Free to Be What I Want Any Old Time by @nickydee

I work hard to be free. While this may seem counter-intuitive, it's not. Not if you want to really be free to work for yourself, at your own pace and to (most importantly, to me) not work when a priority in life presents itself time-wise. Like an outing with a child who won't want to hang out with you anymore one day. A time that will be the present always sooner than anticipated, even though it may seem like a lifetime away in the right here and now.

Resolute Resolutions - A beautiful ending, and a Happy new year by @simplifylife

There is nothing wrong with setting the standard very high for yourself and trying to go out of your comfort zones, as long as they are realistic for you. So often we find ourselves succumbing to a resolution only because my next-door neighbor's dog's uncle's owner managed to do it last year or is setting their resolution high up there this year. Maybe it is doable for them, you are not in their shoes. We need to have a realistic understanding of our own limits and succumbing to the peer pressure of setting unrealistic goals for ourselves will eventually end up resulting in the anxiety of failure - disappointment - further anxiety - giving up on the resolution altogether!

Calm in front of our eyes by @chaodietas

A sunset can last up to a couple of hours. But the moment of sundown happens in a few minutes. These are minutes when time stops and calmness takes over my whole body. It seems like an eternal time where there is only a beautiful silence, and all my other senses are activated to receive the last sun rays of the day. It is a moment to find myself.

Happy (will try my best to make it!) New Year!! by @rafa-noor

Whatever awful things happened around me in the last year, I don't want those things to take away my inner spirit of mine (unfortunately I was losing that). Though still I got haunted by some past events, failed to escape those traumas with the things I love to do, struggled to enjoy any full fun party, and couldn't respond when someone asked what was wrong with me. Being a cheerful extrovert person, it's getting hard to stash my feelings within my mental cage and can't tell when I can be back on my track.

Crushing those Anxieties by @hopestylist

I don't think failure is the end, I always see it as an opportunity to do something better than before and that way I easily overcome that feeling of anxiety. I hate failing but then I channel that energy into making it work the next time and even better! The more we try and fail, the more we learn because next time we will know what we did wrong that did not work and avoid them and just like that we can give a thousand and one reasons why it won't work.

I feel like a millionaire when I have very littleby @cira1964

I try to lead a life as simple as possible and I like to live like that, I have obtained tranquillity and peace in my home, but even so there are days when it is difficult, especially when we want to give something to our friends that go better with them, this situation made me spend some days uncomfortable, but when they said that, I could not but smile and be very happy, because definitely what matters for people who love us, is to spend time with us and have our company, stressing about what we do not have sometimes is in vain.

Some tips

🔸 The community encourages authors to engage and build rapport with other team members by leaving meaningful comments.

🔸 If possible we recommend that authors try to use personal photos, however, if free images from the internet are used, please be sure to cite all relevant sources for photos and text.

🔸 Just a reminder that the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas is presented with ideas on topics to write about and to help you to structure your blogs, they are not meant to be questionnaires for you to list information and publish.

🔸 The presentation of your blog goes a far way and sharing aspects of your lives and your personal stories and experiences should be a lot more than a list that can be found in various places over the web.

🔸 There's no need for you to wait or only blog in response to the prompts provided. You're free to share any aspect of your minimalist lifestyle at any time.

Thank you for checking out the #MoreOrLessTheBest Curation Compilation presented by The Minimalist. This is the new official community account, where the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas and all community events and activities will be published from.
I invite you all to get involved and share your stories about minimalism, and perhaps you would like to invite someone.
