🌸 Drying flowers for my upcoming nail art

Hi ladies,

soon I want to manicure my nails myself πŸ’…
I already have lots of stuff, but I had to order a starter set because only with glitters and flitters, it doesn't work 🀣

As I have to wait for the delivery I get more and more ideas about what I could do. And today I had a new one. I've seen dried flowers to use for nail design, but they aren't very cheap ...

During our morning walkie with my dog, I found some flowers I always see in dried flower sets. IΒ know that you can dry them by yourself, and that's why I picked them up and took them home to dry them.

When they are finally dry, I will try to use them for my nail designs.

πŸ’‘ Tipp: If you also want to dry flowers, but do not know how to do it, here follows a brief tutorial.

🌸 What you need to dry flowers:

An old book, Β  paper towels, Β  scissors, Β  tweezers, Β  something heavy, Β  and of course flowers πŸ˜‰

Step 1

Clean the flowers, and check if there are any flies or lice on them.

Step 2

Cut them to the desired size and place them on a paper towel.

Step 3

Fold the paper towel and place it between the book pages. The paper towel will absorb the moisture out of the flowers.

πŸ’‘ You can put several paper towels between different pages of the book.

Step 4

Close the book. To get more pressure you should put something heavy on the book, like other books or stones, and and set it aside.

⏱️ It will need up to two weeks until the flowers are dry and ready to use.

Hopefully, it will work as I imagine it and I can use them for my nails 😍

I'll keep you posted 😎

And of course, I'll post everything about my nail stuff and later about my nail designs as soon as I can. (But first my equipment has to arrive 🐌)

Omg. The flowers you picked are so beautiful!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this post. I'm definitely going to try this 😍. I love to use dry nature on the designs I do but I've always bought them. Thanks to you that's about to change❣

I collected much more flowers in the last few days. I also dipped them in watercolor to ink them. I'll show them in a new post when I show all my nail stuff (when it has arrived). I'm soo excited to use them 😊
