Fungi Friday - Smiling Specimen

Once upon a time, in the land of mushrooms and mosses, somewhere far away in the woods and mountains, these pictures were born on one Sunday afternoon. The evening was approaching, and so was the darkness... but let's not continue the story in this remote past times, just return to reality. It wasn't that long ago. Just maybe two weeks ago? The walk that we took resulted nice and full of surprises. First of all, it was cold, a lot colder than in our town, so I walked fast to warm up. The second surprise has a different name: mushrooms. Tiny, yellow, and brown mushrooms, who hid in the dry grass. Beneath the pine needles and tucked into the dry grass, they set out to sleep their winter sleep. But the watchful eye of this user spotted them, and it no longer mattered that it was cold. No more being in a hurry and walking fast. Mushrooms were more important.

Some still adorned the surroundings with their freshness and were surrounded by green moss. But most of them were older specimens, which found the sign of drying. It was not important, young or old ones, the positions for taking the photos were tested.

Again and again, as I saw a mushroom, I stopped. I smiled. I took photos. It was repeated so many times until the darkness wanted to rule. It wanted me to pay less attention to those small creatures that called me from the grass. The last sun rays were there telling me to hurry.

However, I was still amazed by the findings. It was simply impossible to imagine that I would see so many mushrooms, but they decided to treat me to this scene. Peeking here and there, and showing off your beauty.

I especially liked this big one, with a dignified attitude and a big, thick hat. He was so interesting, but he had competition. Another mushroom, brown in color, was looking at me. Oh yes, it had eyes, or so it seems to me. What do you think, can we count that as eyes?

We continued with our walk, but along the way, I still saw them, hidden in the grass. There were both beautiful and small mushrooms but also, the already dried ones.

What a surprise that waited for me! Would you believe it? The mushroom that was just looking at me a few moments ago changed its expression. Now it was smiling too! Wait, is it just grass there so it was used to represent the lips? No, no. It was a real smile, giving some positive vibes that we all need. Happy #FungiFriday!

Ahhhh, the humble Agaricus ... I once did a post on them.. also found huge ones whilst walking.
It appears you live in a beautiful part of the world.

Well, I am not sure if it Agaricus or not, but what is for sure, there were many of them up in the mountains. Usually, I don't see them close to our place.

Yes, it is a beautiful place, like many other places on this blue planet... we just have to go out and see those sites and smiling mushrooms ;D

Well, I made a joke on this today, in another comment, that every mushroom is edible, at least once. Well, what will happen later, just the sky knows... ( and those who know well around fungi) ;D

But don't forget, it was just a joke. Please, don't go around now trying mushrooms you are not familiar with 🙂

Hahaha, don't be ;) Then I could be jealous of all those weird and different colored ones you find hehehe.

The place is the same one, the mountains, where I found for the first time last year mushrooms here in Spain. @qwerrie remembered it well 😇

Well, there up in the mountains is colder and more humidity can be felt in the air...no so much more rain, though.
