Mis motivaciones para emprender / My motivations for entrepreneurship
Hace unas semanas @damarysvibra planteó una iniciativa muy interesante que me gustó mucho ya que tener claro el motivo tras ese deseo de "emprender" es fundamental para dar pasos firmes en búsqueda del éxito de nuestro proyecto.
Ciertamente el aspecto económico fue la primera de mis motivaciones; después de trabajar 25 años en la docencia en el sector público, vi como mis ingresos en lugar de aumentar fueron cada vez en detrimento en un país con una economía super inflacionaria.
Mis hijas al verme en esa situación, y sabiendo lo que me gusta ser independiente y poder proveerme lo que necesito sin estar pidiendo a nadie, me animaron a emprender en la cocina, haciendo lo que ellas dicen "las mejores hallacas del mundo".
En ese impulso y para empezar, ellas mismas financiaron mis primeros pasos comprando la materia prima que necesitaba para hacer mis primeras ventas, también me ayudaron con la publicidad y las ventas, porque ellas se encargaron de correr la voz entre sus amigos y conocidos que "por fin" su mamá había decidido vender hallacas.

A few weeks ago @damarysvibra raised a very interesting initiative that I liked very much because having clear the reason behind the desire to "undertake" is essential to take firm steps in search of the success of our project.
Certainly the economic aspect was the first of my motivations, after working 25 years in teaching in the public sector, I saw how my income instead of increasing was increasingly detrimental in a country with a super inflationary economy.
My daughters, seeing me in this situation, and knowing how much I like being independent and being able to provide what I need without asking anyone, encouraged me to start in the kitchen, making what they say "the best hallacas in the world".
In that impulse and to begin with, they themselves financed my first steps buying the raw material I needed to make my first sales, they also helped me with advertising and sales, because they were in charge of spreading the word among their friends and acquaintances that "finally" their mom had decided to sell hallacas.
Luego, recuerdo que en alguna navidad tenía un poco de "fatiga" de vender hallacas, porque me di cuenta que pasaban las navidades y me perdía de muchas actividades y encuentros en familia por andar metida de cabeza en la comida en esa época, pero por mucho que intente desistir o al menos tomar menos pedidos, mis fieles clientes me animaban a que hiciera las hallacas y no los dejara sin su plato navideño con el toque de "Mireya".
Así que en este momento, se convirtió la motivación en un deseo de servir y consentir a aquellas personas que confiaron en mi en un momento tan especial como lo es la cena navideña o de fin de año en sus respectivas celebraciones familiares.
Recientemente, vi a una de mis hijas comprar en el supermercado algunas preparaciones de comidas ya hechas para meter en la lonchera de sus hijos, ella no es muy diestra en la cocina y además tiene una agenda super copada... entonces me pregunté a mi misma ¿y por qué solo limitarme a vender hallacas? ¿Por qué solo explotar mi talento en una época del año?
Y fue como un "eureka", me di cuenta que mi habilidad en la cocina era realmente un talento, y que además el mismo ha estado presente en mi familia de generación en generación, así que sentí que había encontrado un nuevo propósito en mi vida que iba más allá de una necesidad de cubrir un aspecto financiero.

Then, I remember that at some Christmas I had a little "fatigue" of selling hallacas, because I realized that Christmas was passing and I was missing many activities and family gatherings because I was head over heels in the food at that time, but as much as I tried to give up or at least take fewer orders, my loyal customers encouraged me to make the hallacas and not leave them without their Christmas dish with the touch of "Mireya".
So at this moment, the motivation became a desire to serve and pamper those people who trusted me in such a special moment as the Christmas or New Year's Eve dinner in their respective family celebrations.
Recently, I saw one of my daughters buying in the supermarket some ready-made meals to put in her children's lunch box, she is not very skilled in the kitchen and also has a super busy schedule... so I asked myself why only limit myself to sell hallacas? Why only exploit my talent at one time of the year?
And it was like a "eureka", I realized that my ability in the kitchen was really a talent, and also that it has been present in my family from generation to generation, so I felt that I had found a new purpose in my life that went beyond a need to cover a financial aspect.
Por ello, desde hace unas semanas emprendí en la venta de comida casera por porciones, y aunque aun apenas comienzo siento que me dará muy buenos frutos y me siento muy satisfecha cuando recibo el feedback de mis clientes.
Y ahora la Cocina de Mireya expande sus horizontes, manteniendo su slogan de "Sazón con tradición", porque tras el motivo de mi emprendimiento está ese deseo de compartir el legado que ha viajado en mi familia en muchas generaciones.
