Weekend Vibes: A Day of Becoming A Godmother
I am forever grateful for the privilege of being a part of Nyra’s journey.
February 7, 2024 – set to be the christening of my Niece Nyra! She’s the daughter of my cousin Lyn.
Being a godparent entails both honor and obligation. It requires a lifetime commitment to a child and is a unique role to play in that child's life.
A godparent is often someone selected by the parents to be involved in the kid's upbringing and personal development, to provide mentorship, or to seek legal guardianship of the child if anything should happen to the parents.
Godparents, like close family members, should mark important milestones in their godchild's life. Being there on their special occasions demonstrates that you care for them. Parents invest a lot of care into choosing godparents. Let us respect the family by keeping active in key events concerning our godchild.
Assist in caring for the godchild
Godparents are supposed to act as a mediator between their godchild and the parents during tough times. The parents pick us as godparents they trust and respect.
Godparents Are an Extension of the Family
While parents and godparents ultimately choose the godparent's obligations and functions, the godparent is virtually always seen as an extension of the family.
Godparents might be family members or close acquaintances, but they are expected to behave similarly to any other family. The godparent's responsibility includes not just supporting the kid, but also being a close and caring friend to the child's parents. Being selected as a godmother or godfather is a tremendous honor in one's life, and it should be done with dignity and honesty.
Godparents are essentially the child's extended family. Godmothers and godfathers should try their best to be great role models for their children, particularly when it comes to honoring and practicing their beliefs. The more time a godparent and godchild spend together, the greater control the godparent has over their godchild's personal and religious upbringing.
When raising a child, it is important to build a stable foundation.
Parents live busy and stressful lives with numerous responsibilities, but it is evident that one of the most essential things they can do is take a break and give their children time and love.
A Simple hug can change all the negative thoughts of a child. They felt love, support, and belongingness.

I believe that no job is more vital than parenting.
Being a mother means that it is their responsibility to give their children the tools they need to live a happy and meaningful life.
Sacrificing her body,her time, finances, sleep, and mental health to raise their kids to be worth it in the end, because life isn’t about them anymore.
I have never listened about the concept of godparents before as being a Asian person we already have a very huge family that's why we won't needs more people but it sounds good idea for some people won't have so many members in family and wants to secure their kids future.
