Steem Would Never....
What does it take to be a Whale on Steem? 500k Steempower? When I become a whale then maybe all this price decrease can be of major concern to me, right now I don't see my Steempower meaning more than a speck of dust that could more or less vanish into thin air when something goes wrong, not saying it will, but that's mine, it was called a risk anyway.
You guys remember my friend @enison1 who got into steem about two weeks ago, guess what, he's hooked, so we talk a lot now, he always wants to know more, I'm always ready to tell him, he plays Splinterlands now, he's still in bronze level lol, he challenged me one tine, I whopped his ass like a baby monkey, he's also become an investor in Steemleo, he claims not to have time to write, I get it...I've come to realize that not everyone can create content(writing).
Creating content is hard for a non content creator type of person. Some people are naturals, some learn and turn out fine, but it also has to be that those who turn out fine mostly had it in them all along. Some people can't stand writing, some people will rather melt in a hut tub of red oil than write.
Anyway, I consider myself a natural, because writing is my most preferred medium of communicating my thoughts, I spend a lot of time alone with my thoughts, I'm also a natural listener, if I'm going to speak you have to let me......Well, unfortunately for me, I'm mostly surrounded with people who only want to talk and hardly have time to listen, so writing is my way of speaking, all I try to do is to tailor the grammar to suit the topic or idea, I'm not the best, I'm not even half as good as I want to be, but I also understand that those who I look up to have one thing I don't, experience, and its okay.
So yesterday I looked up a job board online, I was digging for information as usual and somehow found myself on this site, its a platform that lists Blockchain job opportunities, like the usual job sites we have, but specifically intended for everything blockchain, I was really interested, so I delved in, there were quite a lot of job offers, ranging from developing to content creating all centered around cryptocurrency and blockchain, so I went for the content creation as you may already have guessed.
I saw options like - Content Creation, write about cryptocurrency and blockchain everyday for negotiable amount, then it hit me, do I really want to put myself under the clause of producing blockchain related article everyday? I like the idea, but I honestly can't guarantee it. With the understanding of myself and how I operate, most of my blockchain articles are results of my own curiosity and sometimes contests, which I've been doing for close to 2 years now, it doesn't make it easier, and sometimes it takes a lot of time to align my thought process with necessary sources, sometimes days, to produce a well cooked content.
What then? I like to create content but that wasn't for me, you can blame this on Steemit, yeah I've become the radical content producer that I love to be on steemit, be it movie reviews, tech talk, blockchain matters, investments, deep life stuff, poetry, gaming, I do it all, and I find creating content on them very soothing actually, even if I have to do it everyday. But on the other hand, the job opportunities in the corporate blockchain world require specification, the type I'm not built for.
The downturn on specification is that it is quite streamlined, compared to having to create content on a wide variety of things. The only platform that permits such spontaneity and earning opportunity on the Blockchain is Steemit and you wouldn't want to have that as a job, compared to actually having a specific niche in a job. And I'm born adventurous, streamlined is not my thing, you can tell from my blog.
Eventually, I think the more time I spend in the blockchain space trying to grasp concepts and consistently consuming blockchain related articles, the better my writing involving the matter will also get. I'm not sure I'm ready to take up a job as a blockchain writer, writing generally is more of a hobby for me, a hobby that has translated into something I earn from here on Steemit, turning that into a "job" might not be the most ideal choice to make, just because it helps with income.
However maybe at some point it will be something I'd go after, I'm not just sure when, although it will be a nice and different story if I could happen to come upon an opportunity that allows me retain my flexibility as I am here on steemit, but till then, I can only keep shining in my best way.
For those who are interested in checking out the crypto job platform, here is the link, I hope it can serve someone out there. https://crypto.jobs/jobs/blockchain-content-writer-at-coinhatcher
The site is quite loaded with a lot of crypto job offers, a lot of which I'm yet to discover myself.
As far as Steem is concerned, seeing any of its products as a "job" is a little too farfetched for now, especially as it relates to creating content. However if Steem hits a bull run and stays in the levels it was in late 2017, then we can have an entirely different situation, more like a hobby turn a holiday.
Its fun to think about.
Thanks for reading, have a great week.

Takes 500k steem power to be a whale so i doubt anybody will be getting there from writing. :D
Price doesn't really matter too much for now when your just powering up. I would love to see the day where my SP earns enough to give me a wage but i think that might be a while away yet. for now the most important thing is having people enjoy the system and having the apps to bring them in. Value comes with more users so it's great when you can bring in friend like that who wants to learn more.
Whaat 500k lool....interesting lool, thanks for that...
Yeah true that..
Yeah its like my second best thing, I just need them to want to know more. My first best thing is talking about steem lol....
I also look forward to more applications that will bring people in, a little moment after splinterlands partnered with Wax, Wax itself has also partnered with another blockchain, Id find the link of the info and share, but yeah, we need more

I think I'll look into those jobs. I could do with more income right now. I went all in on steem, conscious of the risk and ready to wait for the long term. Even if a bull run comes along, I'll most likely sell steem then buy a shit ton more whenever it dumps again. Thats how bullish I am about steem and I want to be a dolphin by 2020 .
Getting a job and buying more steem is my master plan, content creation doesn't earn shit if you're not on the good side of one whale or in some circle jerking click.
