What astrology tells us about the days of the week

The following article describes the correlation between the days of the week and the heavenly bodies in our solar system. According to ancient astrology, each day of the week is assigned to a specific celestial body, from which it takes its character.

It should be added that in astrology, the day begins at sunrise, and not at midnight, as in the current calendar. The day is divided into a day (which lasts from sunrise) and a night (which lasts from sunset), which are divided into another 12 parts, thus determining the astrological hours, also assigned to the heavenly bodies.

When determining the astrological hour, divide the time from sunrise to sunset into 12 equal parts, analogously proceeding with the nighttime. Thus, in winter, the nighttime astrological hour will be longer than the daytime hour, and vice versa in summer.

This has its uses, among other things, for determining the appropriate time for specific magical rituals - allowing for the most optimal energy for a given purpose or intention.

A WORD FOR SUNDAY

Sunday is the day assigned to the influence of the Sun.

This magnificent star has been associated with God since the dawn of time, and solar worship has been present all over the world and in every culture (in Egypt - Ra, the Norse Sol, the Slavic Swaróg, or the Roman Mithra). The sun was worshipped by people in Mesopotamia, Greece, and Armenia, as well as the Aztecs and Indians of North America.

The Christian religion also borrowed solar symbolism from the Romans, popularizing the figure of Jesus Christ as sol verus ("true sun"), sol salutis ("sun of salvation"), sol iustitiae ("sun of justice"), and lux mundi ("light of the world").

The sun is masculine energy - the energy of creation, the energy of creation. It is associated with expansion, heat, and dryness. Contrary to appearances, this is not a day that should be spent resting, but just starting activities and all sorts of activities!

It is the perfect day for all kinds of rituals dedicated to God and expressing gratitude for the gift of existence - a day of joy, brightness, and love...

MONDAY IS JUST LIKE THAT...

As the first day of the week, it doesn't do well. Getting up early Monday morning for school or work is a common complaint - and for good reason. Increased physical or intellectual activity can provide difficulties at this time, even if the weekend was calm and strength has been regenerated.

Monday is the day attributed to the energy of the moon (moon-day). Unlike Sunday, which is associated with the energy of the sun (sun-day), this is a day when it is advisable to slow down a bit.

It's a good idea to devote Monday to getting in close touch with yourself and looking at your own emotions. The Moon, whose influence is in question, highlights matters related to the subconscious, feelings, mental health, and the home fire. It is the energy of water - cool, moist, transformative.

It is worth paying attention to the dreams that appear at this time and sitting down to meditate...
You can successfully engage in cleaning up the space or art, but if the strength is only enough for a blanket, a book, and a cup of cocoa, then you should take advantage of this, too, without feeling guilty and losing yourself in a mental rush.

Rest will give you the strength to start the next day with renewed energy while forcing yourself will only cause more fatigue, helplessness, and irritability.
So if you feel that you lack energy, are not in the mood, or nothing is working out for you, allow yourself to have peace of mind because Monday has it.

FIRE TUESDAY

The planet that patronizes the second (in the Gregorian calendar) day of the week is Mars (Martes - Spanish for Tuesday), associated with the element of fire.

In Roman mythology, Mars (or Greek Ares) was revered as the god of war, the father of Romulus and Remus - the founders of Rome. The first month of the Roman calendar, March was dedicated to him - the heat that enveloped the northern hemisphere at the time melted the snow and dried up the mud, allowing the resumption of hostilities.

Tuesday's energy is explosive and violent, but perfectly conducive to all kinds of physical activities. Perfect timing for martial arts training or intense cardio.

What was challenging on Monday seems trivial and comes easily on Tuesday. Motivation for action, greater libido, and a zest for life are the domain of fire - it is on Tuesday that it is best to take on new challenges and transcend oneself.

Mars is also about health, sexuality, freedom of self-expression, and personal expression. Restrictions in these fields can especially bother you at this time.

WEDNESDAY FULL OF INFORMATION

We're in Wednesday (further proof that the week once began on Sunday)!

In Spanish, Wednesday is miércoles. As the name implies, this day is patronized by Mercury, and his element is air - a masculine, busy, expansive element that pushes action and gives direction.

Mercurius, or Hermes, patronized merchants and tax collectors, as well as thieves (!) His domain is communication and the flow of information, as well as matters related to trade and money.

Wednesday is an excellent day for finalizing business matters, selling, buying, or generally bargaining. The energy of this day is exceptionally conducive to intellectual activities; communication, mediation, organization, oral and written expression, diplomacy, as well as learning and absorbing knowledge.

The ability to think logically and rationally, therefore, is worth transforming into concretes and pushing forward the matters that are important to us, which are directly related to our intellectual development and financial security.

THURSDAY - THE DAY OF SUCCESS

If optimism and energy for action accompany you from the very morning, know that the greatest of the planets in our solar system may have their share.

Jupiter, as he is referred to (jueves - Thursday in Spanish), brings an aura of abundance and prosperity to everyday life. The element of fire and masculine energy corresponds to him.

In Roman (and Greek) mythology we also find Jupiter, also known as Zeus - a well-known figure, towering over other Gods and men on Mount Olympus. Creator and destroyer in one person, single-handedly deciding the fate of the little ones, wielding thunder and lightning.

Jupiter's energy is primarily associated with great happiness, openness, and freedom, but also with materialism and pleasure. Jupiter is also about wealth (both material and intellectual), greatness, strength, and brilliance.

Optimism and happiness are one side of the coin. The other is the hyperpolarization and puffing up of issues here and the emotions that accompany us. We can both achieve success with ease and fall into greater disarray, due to problems that grow disproportionately before our eyes.

Thursday is a great day to focus on what we are trying to accomplish and what field we want to win. However, selfishness can creep into our actions if we focus too much on ourselves and the goal we are pursuing.

LOVELY FRIDAY

The fifth (or formerly sixth) day of the week is patronized by Venus (viernes - Friday in Spanish), also known as the planet of love.

It is also the day of Freya (Friday / fredag), the goddess of love and fertility (as well as viernes and death). Her counterpart in Egyptian mythology was Isis and in Greek mythology Aphrodite. Like them, she roamed the world in search of her lost husband, mourning his tragic loss with golden tears.

The energy of the planet Venus is feminine, and the element that corresponds to her is earth. It is associated with a strong attachment to carnality, pleasure, and comfort, as well as a certain emotionality, material wealth, and above all, great sensuality.

Accordingly, Friday is an outright ideal day to go on a date or simply take care of one's comfort in a way that is pleasurable and feeds the senses.

There is a reason why there is such a great desire for fun and all kinds of pleasures on Friday evenings 🙂 If this day were patronized by the moon, most people would probably be relaxing at home after a week of hard work, instead of getting ready for parties and craziness.

SATURDAY - THE DAY GOD TOOK A DAY OFF

According to the Old Testament, God created the world in six symbolic days. He began his work on Sunday, with the creation of light and darkness, and finished on Friday, creating man.

On the seventh day, God rested after His hard work, and Saturday to this day is a holy time for the Jewish community, which celebrates then the so-called Shabbat (from the root shbt: shin + bet/beit + tav = "to rest," "to cease," "to observe," "to cease activity").

It is a day under the reign of the planet Saturn (Saturday), which is closely associated with the sign of Capricorn - hence Saturday is also referred to as Satan's day.

Saturn is a planet that often causes a crush among astrology enthusiasts, due to its seemingly demonic nature. It is masculine energy, and its corresponding element is earth.

In its essence, this planet is like a stern father, whose eye sees all the mistakes of his children and does not indulge them. In his judgment, however, he is fair, and the ultimate goal of the punishment inflicted is to learn lessons, correct negligence/misconduct and achieve balance.

Saturn favors ambition, discipline, hard work, and standing firm, but it is also associated with withdrawal, emotional coldness, and inaccessibility; in this regard, it represents ego, the desire for power and possession, but also hidden fears and anxieties.
Saturn teaches that immersing oneself in one's fears and mental discomfort, however painful, will eventually allow one to fully integrate with oneself - in the birth horoscope it indicates karma and areas to be worked through.

Whether you devote Saturday to work, play or personal development is your individual decision - whatever it may be, it will be the right one, as long as you remain fair to yourself. Cheating yourself and acting against your conscience can only make your blood worse.

sunrise-7493833_1920.jpg

SŁOWO NA NIEDZIELĘ

Niedziela, to dzień przyporządkowany wpływowi Słońca.

Słońce, to męska energia - energia kreacji, energia stworzenia.

Poniedziałek, to dzień przypisany energii Księżyca (moon-day).

Odpoczynek da siłę, aby rozpocząć kolejny dzień z odmienioną energią, forsowanie się spowoduje natomiast jedynie większe zmęczenie, poczucie bezsilności i rozdrażnienia.

W języku hiszpańskim środa, to miércoles.

Jowisz, bo to o nim oczywiście mowa (jueves - czwartek w jęz. hiszp.), wprowadza aurę obfitości i dobrobytu do codzienności. Odpowiada mu żywioł ognia i energia męska.

Stworzyciel i niszczyciel w jednej osobie, samodzielnie rozstrzygający o losach maluczkich, władający gromem i błyskawicami.

Optymizm i szczęście, to jedna strona medalu.

fire-2901807_1920.jpg
