I hope you're all having a fantastic evening, guys. This will be my first time participating in the Creative Sunday initiative. I haven't been very active on the platform because I've been staying with my sick father, but thank God he's improving. I've been told to stay with him until he has fully recovered.

This sums up my recent series of events and explains why I haven't been 100% engaged with others on the chain.

Even yet, today was enjoyable since I opted to make buns, one of Nigeria's most popular quick snacks, especially among students.

The last time I went to the market, I have purchased the flour and the other ingredients. All I have to do is mix the flour and the ingredients and fry the buns, I'll explain the process.

Ingredients

  • Flour

  • Sugar

  • Baking Powder

  • Milk

  • Vegetable Oil

  • Butter

Step 1

In a bowl, combine the flour and all of the dry ingredients; stir to combine.

Step 2

In order to reach the appropriate consistency, add water to the flour in small amounts after adding the milk and butter, keep stirring to create a thick, elastic dough.

Step 3

Put a frying pan on medium high heat, add the vegetable oil, and let it get heated.

Step 4

To see if the oil is hot enough to use, drop a small amount of dough into it. When the dough rises to the top, it is heated enough and ready for the task.

Step 5

Fry the buns until golden brown in pieces of the dough, being careful not to overload the hot oil. Repeat this step with the remaining buns dough.

Takeaway TipsMake sure to turn the heat down each time you start a fresh batch of frying before turning it back up to ensure even cooking. In this manner, the buns won't quickly become browned without fully cooking.
