My Special Yam And Egg Sauce Recipe || Enriched With Different Vegetables

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today, I'll show you how to make Egg Sauce and boiled yam in a step-by-step tutorial.

Egg sauce can be eaten with plain rice, jollof rice, fried rice, and other main course meals in addition to boiling yam.

Now back to today’s recipe, I’ll be showing the step by step on how to make egg sauce and boiled yam, the reason why this recipe is special is because of some nutritional ingredients I add to it, you wouldn’t want to skip the post would you? Now grab a sit and learn a new recipe today 😋.

The Ingredients

  • Yam (Boiled)

  • 4 Eggs

  • Fresh Tomatoes (Sliced)

  • Onions (Sliced)

  • Red Pepper (Sliced)

  • Cabbage (Sliced)

  • Carrot (Sliced)

  • Green Pepper (Sliced)

  • Sweet Corn

  • Vegetable Oil

  • Salt and Maggi

You can see that my ingredients are made up of different veggies, there are lot of benefits of vegetables which are very beneficiary to our health and body system

Step 1: In a sauce pan, pre-heat the vegetable oil, add the sliced onions and fry for a minute, then add the sliced carrot. Make sure it’s on low medium heat so it won’t get burnt since we are frying all the veggies.


Step 2: The sliced tomatoes and red peppers should go in, the sliced green pepper can equally go in, make sure there’s at least 30 seconds interval


Step 3: Now the cabbage can go in, plus the sweet coin this time allow to fry for at least 5 minutes.


Step 4: The final thing is to add the eggs, and salt and maggi to taste then fry very well for 5 minutes. Turn off the heat


Step 5: Slice the yam into your preferred size, gently arrange inside a clean pot and add hot water then add salt and allow to cook for 20 minutes.


Turn off the heat from the yam, now dish out the yam and the egg sauce in a clean plate and enjoy with any cold/hot drink of your choice, you can as well enjoy with beverages if you like it
