Monggos(Mung beans)recipe for this cold weather

It's been raining here since Friday due to the low pressure that hits in the country.Our province is one of the affected areas of this rainy days.Classes are suspended last Friday and also today because of the orange rainfall warning.

And since it's a rainy seasons ,our tummy keeps looking something to eat while listening the raindrops haha.
Soup for meal is perfect for the cold weather indeed.

Having this weather is a struggle for us anyway since we are living at the area where our pathway is not yet cemented It such a struggle for us especially the kids who go to school.
That's why when I heard about the news ,I went to the market to buy some essentials especially the food that will enough for a week.

So now ,I am thinking what to prepare for our lunch and I remember the Mung beans I bought.So I decided to have this menu for lunch.
This recipe is easy to prepare and a budgeted recipe as well.

-onion leave

Procedure

Boil and cook the monggo for 30 minutes.

And that's it for my easy and budgeted recipe for today.

Anyway ,I spent $0.50 for the Mung beans and $2 for the meat.The malunggay leaves is from our backyard and the spices I used was a left over from the other day.
So in all ,I spent $2.50 and it's enough for the 6 family members hihi.

And that's it for today ,I hope you learn something from my recipe.
Have a great day and stay safe!!!

Love,
@mitch18

Yes, I lived in Moalboal for 7 years. I'm now back in the UK. The only thing I ever had to eat from carendereas was the Squid:)
