Money, The Lottery Ticket That Changes Everything And Nothing.

I've always heard that "Money doesn't bring happiness" but let's be realistic, it's not completely true. Money solves more than 70% of human problems.

I grew up believing that if I ever had enough money many of my worries would disappear. And even up till now, I still believe that. Money pays school fees, pays house rent, but food and settle hospital bills. Money even give influence and opportunities.

Anyone who has struggled financially knows the stress that comes with not knowing where the next meal will come from or how embarrassing it is, when landlords shouts for his rent fee. In that regard, money can definitely make life easier and reduce anything that could lead depression.

But despite all the importance of it, I don't think money alone guarantees happiness.

One experience I had sometime ago changed how I see money. I had a boss in my former place of work. He looked successful outside, he dressed well, smiled often and can really crack people up with his jokes. If you met him you would assume he had everything under control. I admired him so much because he seemed to have achieved what many people dreamed of.

Then one day I discovered that he was deeply in debt, owning millions of naira. I never imagined that he was going such financial crisis because he never showed it.

After that realization, I learned that we might not truly know what someone is really carrying behind their smile. It also taught me that money or the appearance of it doesn't automatically means happiness.

A person may have expensive cars, beautiful house and successful businesses yet still struggle with anxiety and loneliness.

On the other hand I have seen people with very little, yet they are genuinely happy and contented with the little they have.
