The first image here shows Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In 1988 the city hosted the winter games and the large structures are the ski jumps from those games. I thought that from a distance it was a neat sight—the clouds and mountains in the background, which are about an hour away from the city. The foothills that make up the western part of Calgary were pretty ideal for building the type of facilities required for the Olympics; they have maintained some of it over the years for training athletes and for leisure.

The hills I am viewing this from run along the Bow River Valley, which are a great vantage point for many parts of this city. Its always neat to get some of the Rockies in the background, as its not every day you can get a mix of clouds and still have this type of visibility to see these snow-capped peaks.
