I feel like monochrome really enhances the urban look when I am out on the streets shooting. The lines and shadows add depth to the scenes, and the lack of color adds an almost timeless feel to the images.

I love monochrome too. Especially the fact that none of the colors have to struggle for space. The black and white stands in unity giving timeless feel to shots and images.
It just works so well for being able to take in a whole scene. Composition is almost easier because the potentially distracting elements tend to blend in easier.
