Koi Fish Abstracts

There is an indoor garden in downtown Calgary called Devonian Gardens. It features many different plants and walkways, with plenty of benches and spaces to get away from the daily grind. There are some Koi fish swimming in some small pools with fountains inside. As I was taking pictures, I noticed that as they swam, the really colorful Koi would make interesting abstract patterns in the water. They would almost look like paintings as I viewed them through my camera lens. The fluid movements would appear almost like the water that they swam in. It was not quite what I expected to capture, but I was able to make it work in unexpected ways.
