Monomad: Perpetual Chess Player

This chess player permanently resides at this table along Stephen Avenue in Downtown Calgary. He has been there for over longer then I have been alive. Made out of brass, it goes hand in hand with some of the other statues along Stephen ave which also features some of the oldest buildings in Calgary. We await the next move of decades on end, I find it amazing that this has stood in the same place longer then many of the skyscrapers around it. I wonder if they first time people took pictures here if color film was even available yet.
