Monomad Snowflakes Macro Photography

Single snowflakes can be difficult to capture, so it is a thrill to get a few like this. The snow was just starting to fall and gather on my railing, which helped make the single snowflakes stand out a little more. For these shots, I had to focus very close to get the magnification, so I used a Nikon 60mm macro lens, which allows me to get a couple of inches away and will make for a larger image in my viewfinder so that I can spot the individual flakes much better.
