The Red-winged Blackbird is definitely not a city bird. I have only seen it in areas where there are wetlands or ponds. In Calgary, we do have a few areas like this, and they are a great place to spot all kinds of birds you wouldn't usually find around the neighborhood. This particular bird is somewhat elusive to me. These shots are from about 12 years ago and I think it is time I tracked down some more.
