Yes, I did one more Ghibli fanart as now a days I'm more into these dreamy , nostalgic world tjem any other category last time I made a very classic poece of art totally depicted traditional Japanese touch. This time I've made a side character from Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited away. It is one of my favourite anime series from adventure, fantasy genre and of you have watched it you guys will have absolutely loved it.

Movie plot

The movie revolves around the main character of Chihiro who is moving to a new town with his parents but on the way they discovered a mysterious barren town across a tunnel when her father tries yo take a shortcut. Where they found nobody but delicious food when her parents eat that food they turned into pig it makes Chihiro astonished she ran in spite and see that it os getting dark as well yhere are dark spirits who are now visible to him. She ran and hide herself and in yhe main time a boy named Haku arrive and save and send her to a place across a bridge name bath house where the real adventure starts where she will meet many spirits and mythical creatures as well a lot of magical fantasy. To keep suspense and in order not yo spoi the movie you have to see that how she will save her parents from that evil owner of the bathhouse which is surprisingly more interesting story then you might imagine.
A fact'Spirited away' was the first Ghibli movie to nominate an oscar. The movie is worth watching in itself.

Process

Now let's make the Yubaba the owner of the bathhouse. I'll discuss later that why I choose Yubaba for today's art.

  • It was quite easy to draw is the face was extraordinary huge then usual so more details, more clarity.

  • First I realised that I've made her more brown then she should but later on drying it was looking quite fine.

  • Can you see that huge gold earring in her ear and rings on her hand actually as she is owner of the bathhouse so she is supposed to be rich.

  • You guess right she os also wearing making as well a gorgeous gown. I'm realising that this os my third painting continually of a character wearing something purple. Well we all know purple means royalty.

  • At one point I just forgot her ribbon but later see them on the movie so I made them too. The colour selection for hair was so tricky that I did brown.

  • Here the painting is just about to done all thongs are ready just the final out line with black pointee will make it complete 💯.

It seems incomplete without writing the name of the movie so here it os (千と千尋の神 穏し)


Can you guess what is on yhe right side yeh, ot is the name of Yubaba in kanji as well as in hiragana


Why Yubaba

It might rise a question in your head that why I didn't draw Chihiro but Yubaba so yhe answer is that this side chracter was so interesting so she must deserve a fanart she was bold and ownwr of that mystical land as well the character's shape was also interesting to draw so, these things make me urge to do, see you mext time

She is certainly an interesting character in this beautiful movie, I remember very well that she left a pleasant impression on me.

Well I usually do engage with other community members and have also made some good friends here as well.
This week it was a bit busy for me so I don't able to do that I condemn this.
To be honest I want to express my true feelings that most of the times people post stuff which is just a review or something which is boring and these things makes hard to leave an honest comment for them in order that they don't mind it if I say there is nothing new.

You draw really well, and not only that, you also have an impeccable coloring technique. The shadows and reflections were always something I liked to do, although they didn't come out so well haha

You chose a good and interesting character that, as you say, deserves to have a fanart ❤️ very well done!

I really liked the result, it highlights its unique design, personally when I was a kid I wasn't afraid of this witch, although I was a little angry haha.

I have never seen the film but the step by step creation of this fan art and basic explanation of the plot was a nice change of pace for me. Also, is there an arm coming out of her ear?

Here they are I bought them from a local shop in my town cost less than a dollar.
And they are poster colours.
Yeah both characters (zeniba and yubaba ) have similar appearance but their behaviour is different.
