A review of My Monday

Monday is the first working day of the week here in my part of the world and most people call it Money Making Day, it's a day to exhibit zealousness because people (mostly African elders) believes if one starts Monday with laziness the rest days of the week can never be productive, so I take Mondays very important.

As usual my day began with personal morning devotion to appreciate my maker for the privilege to see a brand new day hale and healthy and also to commit my work days to His mighty hands. After that, I put food on fire then I went to take my bath, mind you I've swept my room in the evening so that my chores will be minimal in the morning.

As a teacher, Mondays are somehow busy for me because there will be various inspections on the assembly ground for the students and other activities. Then during the break time by 10am, there will be a general staff meeting with the school administrators, this meeting usually takes the whole of our break time and majority of the staffs doesn't like it but we don't have a choice because if we don't assemble by that break time the meeting will be postponed till the closing hour which will not be favorable because of our other engagements.

But luckily for me no staff meeting yesterday cause we are already in the revision week of the term and as part of the examination committee of the school, I have the time to sketch out the proposed time table for the forth coming second term examinations for both the Junior and Senior school.

After I'm done with the sketching of the time table, I passed what I've done to the members of the exam committee for vetting before taking it to the principal for approval. All member of the committee endorsed it which made me proceed to the principal's office for approval. After much deliberation on when to start and end the examinations with the principal, the proposed time table was approved though with little changes.

However, I was given the permission to type set it and to send a copy to the Principal's desk, Vice Principal's desk, to various Class captains so that it will be pasted in all classrooms and also to paste a copy on the school notice board for easy access. I did the type setting and printing without wasting much time and I was glad because I was able to settle the time table aspect yesterday.

Then before school closes, I had a revision class with the SS 1 students and by 2pm which was the closing hour the bell rang and the students were dispatched to their various homes but I didn't go home because of exam questions typing.

So I went straight to the computer Laboratory which is been powered by solar system to type some questions for about one and half hour before going home. I eventually got home around 4pm, I took my bath and relax for awhile before preparing my dinner. I really had a fulfilled day yesterday and I'm looking forward to another productive day today as well.
