The invention of technology has been doing great and wondrous things for humanity, no one in this dispensation can say he or she has never benefited from technology, absolutely no one! All sectors have felt its impact, it has made life so easy for each and everyone of us that we can ever imagine. Sometimes I thank my maker for creating me in this generation because I can't imagine how my forefathers lived during their time.

The advent of android gadgets has made almost all of us increase the time we allocated to our devices. Phones has become Man's number one companion, it's so essential that we can't do without it for a minute. Even if we didn't call out and no one calls in, the mere fact that the phone is on and beside us gives us rest of mind.

I'm also part of those that doesn't like their phone to be off, no matter what might happen, my phone will definitely has battery even if it's low. Phones are multifunctional that's why we all have a lot of things to do on it which has resulted us to spend so much time with it.

How much time do I spend each day on my screen?
The amount of time I spend each day on my phone is not so defined it is based on how my daily activities are. As a teacher, I don't always have time for my phone doing work hours except in my free time.

If not that I now work in a government owned school, when I was working in a private school we weren't allow to go to the class with our phones. It's a rule we all must abide with, once you have a class you need to drop your phone in your office drawer, then go to class to teach your students. Private school owner count phone as a distraction in class for both students and teachers.

So during working hours on weekdays, I usually spend limited time on my phone. Some days, work gets so intense to the extent that the only thing I would do with my phone will just to call out or pick call. I will be so occupied that I wouldn't visit any social media platform till later in the evening when I returns back home.

But during weekends and holidays, I do have more time to spend on my phone although with little regulation. I'm a person that doesn't like to be held down in a place for too long and moreso, I don't want to be addicted to my devices so to avoid that I usually regulate myself.

I don't want to be like some people that are so addicted to their devices that to eat or take their bath will be a problem. I don't want to get to that kind of extreme level, so regulating screen time is necessary because I understand what too much of everything is bad. That's why I do my things with moderation and at the right time.

In Conclusion
As we all live daily, we must understand that all things have their time. So handle all things carefully, make sure that your screen time doesn't get into the time you use for other things.

Thanks for visiting, happy weekend and Easter celebration!

Technology has done us a huge favor and I think it's unfair to blame technology for our addiction to smart devices which automatically causes us to spend more time using these devices. Humans are to be blamed just because we lack discipline and self control with these gadgets.

The need to work on excessive screen time is huge and it's important that we devise means that best works for us individually

It has gotten to the stage that some people even take their phones to browse, play games etc in the bathroom... In all these, we should be careful to also create balance between the two.

We shouldn't because of our phone and other device ignore or forget other important things...
We should be self conscious
