My fitness routine!
Staying fit requires doing exercises or any physical activities to stay healthy and to keep the body in good shape. It is important to take good care of the body by regular exercises because a healthier person is a happier person. More importantly, regular exercises strengthens the body, makes you feel good and also helps in the prevention of chronic diseases.
In the first 3months of the covid-19 lock down, I personally knew I added weight. So myself and my younger sis started a daily home workout session in the morning and evening with the help of a workout session app which I downloaded online. At first I had severe joint pains but it subsided when the session was continuous. I actually abandoned it for a while but I've gone back to it during weekends.
How do I stay fit?
- Home workout
I've never been to the gym before, I prefer workout from home that is, making use of my mobile workout app very early in the morning during weekends. These exercises includes stretching, squats, spins etc. They have really helped to burn down calories.
- Walking
I currently work in a rural area, so walking has been my major way of staying fit during week days. Trekking from my house to the place where I work is about 22 to 25mins, approximately I do trek 50mins in a day to and fro to work. Walking has help me in stretching my leg muscles and also helps in burning some fats.
- Balanced diet
Staying fit also requires eating healthy foods, I try as much as possible to reduce my intake of junks and eat real foods. Before, I love taking carbonated drinks a lot, but I've reduced it to the minimal. I now drink fruit juices and plenty of water, eat a lot of proteins, fruits and vegetables and I also reduce the intake of carbohydrates.
Fitness routine is not that easy but with dedication and determination it can become part and parcel of you. It's good to be motivated to engage in it, because the end result is worth the efforts.
