This was a well told but sad story. I am happy that you realized your worth and that you are a wonderful friend. Sonia had her own battles and you just happened to be in her life at that time. I can empathize- I know what it feels like to be a teenager whose friend(s) change. It is so painful and unimaginable. It can scar and break one’s heart for a long time. I am happy you shared this story and your healing. Of course it reminds me of a terrible time but happily like you - I healed.
