The responsibility for the quest to have a better world lies on everyone and not just the people in power and the earlier we realize that the better for everyone. Overtime I have expected to graduate school and get a job from the government, be established and placed on salary with no stress. That wasn't forthcoming and then I realized that I have to let out the potentials in me and create not just a job for myself but something that can serve as a solution to my economy. Looking at my farms now and the crops I grow which feeds not just my family but some neighbors. I have found pleasure selling discounted food to people in my neighborhoods. This will certainly go a long way to reduce hunger in my community . Whereas I was able to do this and contribute a my own quota into the economy, we have other graduates who have taking other paths to become nuisance to their own community .
They feel that it is better to engage in vices that can fetch them money,hence money rituals and kidnapping is the order of the day in our Present day Nigeria. Most youths are seeking for a shortcut road to success. They haven't been useful to themselves talk more of our society and the World at large.

Looking at another instance, getting employed in some government sector is like a golden opportunity for gold digging, that's why we all want a government Job. Government workers just do whatever they feel like in the office abandoning their responsibilities. Embezzling funds isn't the only problem in our society, not doing your Job accordingly has a massive effect on our world.
Before now government schools have been the best in the country so far such that anyone who attends a government boarding house comes out graduates bright, discipline and with accurate and standard knowledge based on the education and trainings received. Now that the tables have turned, you cannot present your school certificate result from a government school to get any worthy recognitions. The poor level of education was birthed through what the government has provided as education materials and the quality of education individual teachers in offer in class.

Since the government is less concerned about what goes on there, the teachers equally abandoned their duties and students are left at the mercy of their own fate.

Staff rooms have becomes avenues for gossip, buying and selling doing irrelevant matters not related to teaching and learning. The free Books and stationary provided by the government for students been carted away by teachers and school principal, selling these items to private school to make extra income for themselves.

Starting from the grassroot there is one thing everyone can do to make the world a better place for all of us. First we must realize we are responsible for ourselves and fellow brethren. If we do good it, radiates to others and to our society at large, the same tale goes for when we do ill.

If we desire a clean environment, we can all endeavor to practice a proper waste disposal system and stop dumping refuse in gutters and water ways .
I hope we now see the consequences of such poor attitudes with flooding and dirt filling our street after every rainfall .

That's even lesser compared to how cholera and other diseases spread fast because of open defecation and other poor practices.
This is just how hurt and passionate I feel about these things.
Keeping good sanitation is something I don't joke with knowing how everyone can get affected by the little things we do or ignore

Another thing I am fond of doing to help my fellows is never to Hoard opportunities.
The bible said that we should teach people how to fish rather than give them fish . It is that simple, there are so many fish in the river and it doesn't get exhausted just because you invited a friend for a catch.

If is within our capacity to empower someone else , what can be keeping us. You do not need all the money in the world before you can help someone else .
Registering a teenage girl to learn skill, paying tokens of school fees every now and then for people's children not related to you. Investing in other people's lives, their mindset, careers and many more are just some of the things we can do without seeking for returns.
When everyone is settled to live in shelters with food and cloths, it is certain that we will have better world.

Above all , been patriotic and responsible citizens of our country and world, contributing our own quota doing our work with due diligence and as a faithful steward of whatever we are placed in charge. This will some day make our world a better place even if there was a minimal contribution from the government.
