Beautiful and funny names of stylelines in fashion Designing
Hello Hive
It's funny how we seem to give names to different things in the field of our career.
Coming to fashion, have you ever wondered why it is called a princess cut or was it that a princess originated that style line. At least I found out that kimono is relatable and has some traditional meaning in Japanese as a robe with wide sleeves and sash.
You are most likely wearing the letter A when you out on a A-line dress. What about your butterfly dress, do you fly when you wear them or your pencil trouser probably thinks that you Need to be slim and straight 🤓😀😁.
This is by the way. I sewed a dress for this week project hoping that I could sew some elegant party dresses for myself.
The gold color wasn't pronounced and the dress looks too simple compared to what I imagined the outcome to be.
But not to worry, I have some pearls and beads hoping that this will turn out to be one decent yet beautiful party dress.
Look at the style line below the waist, what should I call that one since it is not a process cut.
A tummy cut or what?🤓😀 since the dart passed along that waist line in a v-shape manner.
Some outstanding designers have coined named for their brands and created some of the terms we use in the fashion industry.
Some have fit the different designs but some remained funny.
Knife pleat doesn't mean we are making the pleat with a knife.
What other skylines have you heard in fashion that is amusing.
Happy mothers day to all the responsible mother's and mother like figure on hive.
On the occasion of the special celebration, I wanted to design something special as a gift for any deserving mother but I ran out of fabrics and had to stick with making this dress for today's project.
The timing for gift is never too late and that can possibly happen during the week.
Thank you for having me.
Hey you looks beautiful 🌺🌺😊
Thanks love 💖😍💕💃🌹
Mermaid tail is one of the cutting names I've heard. They are quite strange indeed.
Thank you very much for the congratulations.
I'd love to see the dress again when it's already covered in beads. happy start of the week!
Thanks lovely.
For the warm comments.
And congratulations on occasion of mothers day.
We appreciate for the love, gift and good example you have shown everyone here. 💖❤🍷😍
I laughed so much while reading and then I wonder, why do we call it palazzo pant? Hahaha
🤓🤓😀😁 or a boot cut, let's go find out, Lol.
You are developing your sewing skills so fast, kudos to your hard working spirit. This princess bustier is sitting very pretty on you, can't wait to see the pearl finishing.
What about the mermaid style, someone recently made my brain go on a search for fish style ha ha😂
Thanks dear.
Omg we are turning to mermaid with our outfits. That's laughable 🤓
Thank you so much.
This is beautiful one
Its a good idea trying to gift a deserving mother. Thats was nice of you, i hope you get to do finally hand over this precious gift. Patiently waiting for the finished product. Keep it up
I think the dress looks beautiful like this, although if you wanted to add something more striking, a tulle skirt that you can put on and take off would be a good idea, the color looks beautiful on that dress and it looks great on you

I'm not at all good with sewing terminology and sewing pattern names 😁 but I'm sure your pearl embellishment idea would work great for this cute dress my dear! 😀
