Different types of pepper species we have planted for their unique used.
Hello Hive

Big Bell Pepper.
Happy new week to us all, I hope that we all had a very restful weekend are are highly anticipating what the new week has to offer.
Personally I can't wait either. Sometimes we as farmers also anticipate the growth of one particular crop or the other. Particular the ones that interest us so much such that we can hardly wait to eat them.
For now I can't wait to have a taste of new corn 🌽 often roasted and eating fresh, I'm highly expectant of sweet potatoes. Ever since we completed the harvest of sweet potatoes last year and have eating all the ones in our reserve we haven't tasted any of those in about 5months now. The challenge is that whenever a crops is no longer in season it becomes so expensive that we cannot afford them, the only thing we do is to wait for the next farming season when we plant and harvest them again.

Another crop that I can hardly wait for again is this lettuce, it has been almost a year I have eating lettuce, a vegetable I particularly love so much, so you can imagine how I felt when we planted some so much. Members of the community were equally happy to see us that we planted these as well, not everyone grows lettuce in this community, this task is left to just one or two persons and it's is rarely planted even though people love to eat this a lot. Planting this made a lot of people so happy and everyone is highly expectant of when they will be ready.

Scotch bonnet pepper.
I was taking my time to show my baby sis the different kinds of Pepper that we have planted in our farm this year. I was so surprised that she doesn't recognize that and I know fully well that some people in this community do not know that as well.
These particular ones above are the scotch bonnet pepper. If you want to cook some tasty meals , this is much appropriate for adding quality taste to your meals.

The bell/ball peppers above is used mostly as soup thicker. The pepper consist of a long round and big body shape, the ones here is still growing and can grow much more bigger than it is in the picture. If you add this to stew it makes soup becomes really thick
You can use a mixture of two or more pepper types in the same meal to serve for different purpose.

This other long pepper here is the one we often use to add more coloring to meals.
The pepper is usually long and very much red than the others and whenever we are preparing moimoi we preper to use this.

The fourth pepper type is usually the chilli pepper, that one has a characteristic of being very hot. It's a hot pepper that if you need your soups to be highly pepperish you can go for this type.
The chilli pepper I have at home now is the ones that were harvested and friend yesterday.
