Does Crypto provide the best form of passive income

Repeatedly we notice how the different ways to make money has changes over time such that the introduction of passive income became a great addition.
Passive income allows you to make extra income with minimal labour, more like a side hustle but I bet that we might just have some people who are now willing to live only on passive income. This lazy way of making money will have your accounts funded even while you are sleeping.

Passive income can come in different ways starting with the interest in your bank accounts. In Most cases the percentage interest or Return on Investments (ROI) is usually known, then you can determine if its worth it to invest in these or that.

But it is time to determine which form of passive income earns you good yield.
Crypto or otherwise.

I have seen some good passive income even on hive and trying to compare it with what happens outside blockchain has given me a good stand.
Although you may get some good percentage ROI in crypto, that doesn't come without a risk. In fact just anything can happen overnight and you loss but the capital and everything.
Nothing good comes easy, the downside to a lazy investment is that you get ready to loss your money any day.

I wish to hear from those who bought the MTN shares some months ago in Nigeria, I can bet that they haven't earned anything worthy of it at all,
even though it has little or no risk what's the point in making a futile investment?
A better option would have just been to buy and save some HBD...

The most important point to note here is that whatever passive income earning method you want to adopt, you have to determine your ROI and the risk involve, weigh your positions and make your choice...
Remember that you are solely responsible for the outcome of every decision.

Less risky passive income, less yield an vice versa.

People actually buy shares in Nigeria? Lmao. They are brave.

Despite the high risk of crypto market, I'd rather take my chance by holding HBD for 20% APR than buy any damn share of companies in Nigeria and that includes banks.

So what are so-called passive income strategies that you would consider hands off?

If we only focus the two you mentioned above stocks and crypto

  • If you're buying individual stocks, to trade, you're actively investing, because you're looking to capture bid ask spreads. If you're buying to hold, it's the same thing with a longer time frame you're picking an asset, you're deploying capital, you're taking risk and you're hoping to get compensation either by price appreciation or by dividend payments above the rate of inflation, if not you're losing money, so how is that passive?

  • If you're talking about shitcoins, you're having to either stake them, put them into liquidity pools, or trade them, you're paying fees for on chain trades or with exchanges. You have to actively keep track of the market

In both instances, most people lose because they don't know how to factor in the theta, aka the time decay on the asset, they trading on the nominal value of the price so you think you're getting ahead because the number is going up but you're actually spending time and money losing money, so how is it passive?

There is no wealth without work, you're only fooling yourself to think money will come your way because you're holding some claim to it
