Growing your own food can be highly economical... It is time for rice harvest

Hello Hive

Just at that time when food is very expensive and almost not affordable for anyone, I am set to harvest rice with my family.

A bag of rice is sold for $90 and above and in our home a bag will last us for only a month due to our family size and that rice is one of the major consumed food around here.

Looking at the grains you can see that we are going to have some good harvest since there was an abundant of downpour this years and the seeds did pretty well.

We may need at least one more weeks or few additional days for the grains to properly get dried up before it is harvested.

Harvesting is done manually as we need more hands to cut these with sickle before we can beat the grains out of the rice paddy.

Once harvesting is done, several other processing is done in terms of per boiling and milling before the rice finally becomes a food on the table.

Sometimes it pays to grow your own food and highly economical when you have rich harvest like this and also looking at the analysis of how much we have spent in terms of chemicals and labour employed.

After harvest we would then calculate this input comparing this with the product gotten them we can determine how much profit we had.
