Massive Growth Progress of our Sweet potatoes and a Progressive work of Transplanting our rice seedlings, clearing and preparing the land
Hello Hive

A beautiful Sunday morning to us all. I hope that we had a good night rest, this morning I'm only wishing that I can get more sleep but Sunday service is 6 am and we have to be up and ready. Yesterday we were still about transplanting our rice seedlings and I can tell you that the work is usually a very long and boring exercise. We may be needing almost a month to cover our portion of the rice fields.
As at yesterday we have only been able to cover a plot of of land so farm.
Rice Transplanting is the most boring and time consuming exercise that often requires more hands to speed up the exercise but those we would have invited to assist us are busy with their own work too.
Everybody is racing againg time to get their crops planted.
Remember that we had some delay in starting this exercise and the reason is due to the rains that ceased from the second week in the month of July until last week before the sky open up again. All those periods were when we ought to plant our crops for them to have completely grown and be established by now.

Those are quite a good portion of the land where I have applied some herbicides the last time. The grasses have now all withered off, for this now we would be needing to clear the grassws with cutlass to expose the land for the transplanting exercise. Some people often eat fire on this especially if it is not a too swampy area, but having had a good knowledge of climate and all I would prefer that we cut them off and place them in other locations for them to get rotten and return back into the soil as humus.

As we progressively transplant and cover more grounds in the field we equally engage in clearing and preparing more of the available spaces for the transplanting exercise to continue.

After the days work we decided to pass by our potato farm to see how well they were fairing and the results is amazing, potatoes have covered everywhere as you can see just like the cover crops they are called.

These potatoes have spent over 6weeks now and since they take about 4months to produce their food, we are highly expectant on when to start eating these. Sweet potatoes are the only tubers we have planted this year. Daddy hasn't been strong enough hence we have to drop down some of the crops we grow and concentrate on few important once.
