Pleasant morning to you my dear friends. Am happy to see the barbie contest for this year fly around the needlework community, and its quite unfortunate that I haven't participated in the contest.

But wait
Can I make a barbie dress?
A barbie ball gown?
I doubt this unless I try.
Making my niece dress taught me a lesson, the tiny measurements makes it hard for me to handle making tiny clothes.

And with barbie this will come even more smaller that I have to do some stitching with my hand.
But I guess that this is all about been creative which one can definitely try.
Having no doll of my own, I might check in a store for some cute barbie to purchase.

I love Barbie's and I remember how I looked forward to buying every barbie movie, think of a barbie movie and Monica has watched it
(Watch or view, which is the right word here please?).

And this is what I have for my babies 3month dress. Though I need a final touch of embellishments with some pearls stones and applique

For this dress I learnt a couple of things and the most important one of them is how to get an accurate baby measurements.

The first dress I made for her had some flaws after I took an average baby measurements from the internet to use.

This time I worked with what I felt will suit her size best and I hope it sits well on her, baby photoshoot coming up on 30th.

This range might work for any 1-3month babies who are so chubby.

• Shoulder 4-5 inches

• Neck line width 1.5-2inches

• Neckline depth 1-3 inches as desired depending on how deep your design is

• Armhole depth 3.5inches

• Chest circumference 17-19

• waist circumference 18-20 tummy waist is usually larger in babies as they suck alot of milk and fill up their belly.

• Waist length 6-7inches

• Dress length 20-22 inches.

I made a tulle net dress with a yard of three materials,

• Satin
• Tulle
• Linen

You can chose to add a bridal net internet to give some princess fullness.

Making use of the top African print fabric for the half length and all other accessories the budget is around $5 instead of a ready to wear dress that will cost me multiples of this.

Mummy marks 3month for every baby.

This is a culture in our family, mummy loves to help us keep this three month memory and its usually on this month that she barbs our birth hair that we may grow a new set of hair that can be weaved or plaited.
Here is @monica-ene when I was three, I wasn't born with that much stand of hair, more like I was bald but I was a happy baby. I hope my face cheers you up.
