My christmas outfit and corset dress that was never completed.

Hello Hive

This is the highest level of disappointment one can ever face.
I disappointed myself but its quite okay since the circumstances were beyond control for me.

I remember how tailors and designers go on sleepless nights and vigils just to meet up with customers target at this season, its all about preserving integrity and not just for the money.
If an outfit is not ready as desired you lose your integrity and a customer eventually.

Sewing am average outfit will take not less than 24hours and imagine having 10-30 outfit just for wither December alone and to be ready before Christmas, that's a whole lot and really demanding.

People chose to sew from different designers due to the quality of service and when they trust your brand they tend to stick with you for a long term business partnership, but disappointment in any form can make you loss customers.
Check out the work so far on my dress.

It was my first time learning how to make a corset and I felt proud that I would get this ready for my Christmas dress but here is the progress so far and Christmas had come and gone 😂😂😂😂

Few days before Christmas I caught the cold and was down with crisis but then after I felt better, the girls dress was there starring at me, since I didn't want to disappoint them I made their clothes. And my sis was able to have hers ready.

I had wanted to continue with mine but looking at the pattern I did here and the outcome of the corset, I can't wear this if I close it up.

the corset cup is too big for my bust size

The problem with me is that whenever am making a design for the first time, I never get it right until I practice it multiple times.
Although this corset might still be redeemable but some fabrics get damaged beyond repair, that's why am scared to cut cloth most times.

So for my corset am still thinking of how to reduce the cup size and make this fitted, hopefully it will be ready before the new year.

Where you able to make yourself a Christmas outfit or you ended it halfway like mine

Hi sis, sorry about your dress that you couldn't finish, I thought I'm the only one who didn't have a Christmas dress for myself, I was supposed to make a skirt and blouse for Christmas but guess what, I only made the skirt and the blouse is just being designed in my head 😀😀😀😀 I was busy with customers dress that I don't have time to make even a dress for myself Christmas has come and gone and my fabric is still there staring at me.

I usually make things for myself when business is slow. I'm trying to finish a dress for me before I start getting prom dresses to alter (usually March and April.)
