Preparing Some Veggies for Seed Harvest.

My garden vegetables are drying up so fast but not without giving me some seeds for next session planting. The unavailability of water is causing very fast changes in the plants.

Those are the sheaths housing the tiny vegetable seeds but having squeezed out a portion of it I am yet to get some seeds. These will develop first and hopefully the seeds will come in too later.
One thing that is of concern to me now is if these veggies will produce some good seeds sewing that the leaves have turned yellow and are almost burnt out.

I have been recycling water and wetting these as much as I can yet the since the quantity of water isnt enough they are tending towards death than survival.

I have equally noticed that the jute mallow have started giving signs of seeds production without even a first time harvest. The veggies that ought to be soft so that I can have them harvested for soup suddenly started toughing. These veggies becomes a bit harder in their stems whenever they are about to produce seeds, they become though in order to be able to carry the pods that will bear the seeds

From the way the leaves are they will not be able to cook any soup. Hard jute leaves can't be used for soup, often times when purchasing from the market we use the leaves that are green and soft not this hard and yellowish ones.

Maybe a little more watering and a bit of fertilizer will rescue this, I really want to prepare these veggies to give me enough seeds for the next planting seasons and will try my best to both study and prepare these ones for such.
