The long awaited dry season is finally over and Just yesterday we had our very first rain. Which means that other farming activities will be commencing very soon.
Prior to this time we have already started clearing all the lands for the proposed commercial farming myself and other farmers will be embarking on this year.

Having engaged in subsistent farming for a long time to feed our families alone we have started these plans to invest some capitals and increase our farming capacity. We want to start small by working with at least 22acres collectively for now and then increase this as time goes on.

What better time is there to purchase these working tools rather than now. From a windows shopping experience I have understand that it is better to purchase an equipment when it is not at the peak of it usage season, this often times reduces it's cost price.

I have entered this shop to purchase some items I will be needing in the farm for work.

I got this very long cutlass for $4.
Although it is longer than what I desire but there was no better one.

Choosing to pick this shorter one over the long one has a hug disadvantage. One may have to bend over for a very long time when working and that will hurt ones back. Hence I bought this longer one against the short one.

Next I equally purchased this water fetcher as something we will be needing to draw water from the well.
For wetting some crops we might be needing this if there is no rain.
Besides I equally needed it in the house for drawing water from the well. These ones cost me $2.
There will be no need for this if the rains were consistent besides in commercial farming like this generators, pumping machines and arranged pipelines are what is usually used to wet the crops in the field but like I said earlier it will be useful for my gardening journey as well.

I was presented with several variety of this and was left with a choice of picking a good one.

I will be needing some more farming equipment as further work continues and since there is not enough money to purchase everything we need at thesame time hence we buy these things one at a time.
Hoes cutlasses water pipelines and quality seeds for planting.

I love the way you talk about farming and your zeal shines forth. What do you farm? And if you’re going to be farming for commercial, what crops are they going to be?

Hi Monica! It was a nice surprise to find your post in Homesteading community when I opened the page to join. Enjoy the upcoming season. It's still cold here in my region but I start plants indoor :)
