Hello 🧵/🧶 lovers

I'm excited to come around the community today to show you another of a beautiful project I have just completed. I am really excited because this is a recycle project that gave out a breath taking result after all the stress of reworking it.
There have been outfits we may have wanted to rework before but in the end it turns out that these clothes will not be redeemable but the ones that gives us a quality results as this and also make the clothes good enough for second use gets anyone excited.

The story behind this recycle project is a simple one.
I meet this sister of mine sometime ago while I worked as a sales representative in a provision store for my former Boss. The lady was my assistant whom we have now grown some strong bonds between ourselves.

She comes from a poor background and even till now the family are struggling financially. Having heard of her numerous struggles and challenge I took it upon myself to always help her in every way I can.

She is unschooled and approaching her mid 20's. Going to a college or higher institution will be a challenge now since the family has no source of income to sponsor her. Both parents are Abit aged now and with no link to pensions since they never worked as government staff's.
Everything is really complicated right now and I have been thinking of what I can do to help her.
Probably engage her in some skill acquisition that is still a part of my plans for the year.

Back to the dress

While I do everything I can to get her some good clothes to wear every now and then, some good neighbors also volunteer to give her quality clothes and items they no longer use.

The dress is a part of those she was gifted, but this was coming someone with extra large body size and doesn't look fitted on her as you can see above.

There was serious work to be done on this dress but I had to sacrifice my time to do this if I desire to cloth my friend. They say that nothing good comes easy and If I desire to do some good/charitable deeds I must be willing to pay the price

The sacrifice was worth it in the end because the dress came out so beautiful on her after I have worked on it

First I had cut out the monostrap part that was showing a part of her bust.

Due to the numerous darts on the former design of the dress I had to rip off all the seams
And cut everything all over again like a new dress.

This is a double task for me because the time used in riping off seam could be utilized into doing other task but I had no choice .

Next I thought about what to use to decorate the dress and this orange color bias was available which I had used to tap the neckline and it added some matching color to that part. 🧣

After making the dress I felt like taking it for myself because it came out really lovely and nice, but I have too many clothes already and can still make another of thesame design for myself instead of covering on the poor girls outfits
She deserves to look good too and I am so happy that I can at least do this for her.
