Rice Transplanting in hope, Join us for transplanting exercise of rice plants in the field

Hello Hive

This is the rice Transplanting exercise we normally do yearly transferring seedlings from their seed bed into the rice fields. Even though the rains hadn't started yesterday and one can still see that the waters have all drained out of the rice field we decided to start the transplanting yesterday because time was no longer on our side.

We have checked on the farm thoroughly to see if there were places that was a bit wet and not totally dry, the seedlings can still survive on the ground if the place was wet a little bit wet and not completely dried. We were actually doing this work yesterday in hope that the rains will return before the ground completely gets dried.

You can see here that the ground was just only drained of water but not completely dried. If by luck there was a downpour after this work, the seedlings will survive.

This is the rice grains we have nursed and is currently being transplanted. These ones have been nursed here just a month ago. They have grown so tall and up to the size for planting as we are currently still planting more rice in hope. The raining seasons is the shortest season we know or maybe that's how I often see it as a farmer. The rains started in the month of April but those were just some brief shower, we have witnessed proper rain in the month of May and latest by the month of October we may not witness any downpour that is adequate enough to grow anything. And right within this raining months of approximately half a year, that is when we usually witness the August rain break.

The August rain break for this year started from the month of July and precisely from the third week in the month of July up till yesterday which we have stepped into the second week in the month of August.

This rain breaks has lasted for approximately up to a month hence the more reason I often see the raining seasons as a period not too enough for our farming exercises.

The major challenge we have with growing crops is that unavailability of sufficient
