It's a beautiful new day and we have gradually made it to another weekend. The year is running out so fast that I can vividly recall how it looked like when we have just screamed a happy new year welcoming this year.

Another challenge is that whenever it is farming season and we have a lot to do on the farm, it always looked as if the year is fast running out on us. Sometimes we don't even meet the time target to plant certain crops and when that happens we strike some crops out of what we are to plant for that year.

We always plant crops that are most useful to us, the basic cereals, legumes and tubers needed for consumption.

My emphasis regarding searching and planting a productive specie of each crop is not a thing to play with. We are always on the lookout for better seeds that will give us better yield. Most plants now have serious specie of their kind, and in some other conditions the Agric engineers often experiment new seeds that will give better productive outcome or seeds that are adapted to low rainfall and can endure some harsh situation to stull produce some foods whenever we do not have sufficient rainfall or the condition is not too friendly for a normals specie of such crops to produce it's food. Quality rainfall, soil fertility and others minor conditions are necessary for the growth of any crops.

If you look at the two pictures posted earlier you will notice some differennce in how the two potatoes are growing. A closer look in the next pictures will reveal more.

These are two different species of sweet potatoes planted on different location. It is very much easy to notice which one is performing better. The other land is a very much fertile loamy-claybsoil very close to where we have planted the lettuces and vegetables

While this other species is a little distance away. Both have been planted at relatively thesame time. The second category are growing on a Sandy-loam soil. In the end we will be able to track which one produced more considering every factor and which one has a better taste. I have seen/eaten sweet potatoes that didn't taste sweet, I couldn't tell if it was the soil factor or whatever reason that made such potatoes to lose it sweetness. Planting these is a good way to verify and then make our conclusions on which varieties of the potatoes to hold unto.
