Sewing My own Christmas Head band for our church Carol Service.
Hello Hive
Happy new day to everyone, I hope that our day is coming in well and that we are enjoying the yuletide season.

So tomorrow is our church Christmas carol and being a member of the choir you should know how excited this can be for all of us. The choir seems to enjoy carol most because we have to learn and present different genres of Christmas songs for our carol.
Our African culture has also composed a lot of Christmas songs in our local language, hence not a single person is left out of the yuletide seasons. Everyone is carried along and we enjoy Christmas in our own cultural way.
The color uniform for the choirs to wear tomorrow is a white dress with a touch of any Christmas color.
I have sewn a lot of Christmas caps in the past but every year I have to see more as the bulk often gets gifted out that I barely have any.
I wish that I can sew a Christmas cap for myself for tomorrow but I do not have the the accessories for sewing this at home, I will have to visit the market which is in a distant location.
I decided to use a fire brigade approach to sew this headband for myself and my friends who may need this as we are all going to wear a white dress and a touch of red headwear.
Here is a simple tutorial on how to cut and sew this headwear. You can even decide to use left over fabrics and wears that are not useful by recycling them.

Simply cut a fabric using your head circumference. My head circumference is 23"
After that you join the edges together

Then create some kissing pleats or gathers at the center of the head band band .

Sew the circumstances of the headband round and you will have a headband like this.

I will be making like 3more copies of this just Incase someone else might need it in church. And right before Christmas

I wish that i also be able to sew some proper Christmas caps for the children around me as most children fancy wearing santas cap around here.
Lovely! !BBH
