A beautiful new morning to us all, it is the day that the Lord has blessed and we are grateful to welcome the months of September.
This is the month for the peak of rainfall and all of the farming activities we are engaging in. It is also the month for high level of growth for the crops we have planted and whenever this months comes around people are usually very expectant and have go say that only two months away from now and harvest is everywhere

Right after September Groundnuts (peanuts like some will like to call ) will be ready for harvest and the series of harvesting begins from here. You will be surprised to see that even this beans that is being planted now will be harvested in the month of November. We care being careful to plant only crops with shorter life span and this beans takes only about two months max to produce it's food.

The beans have been planted about 9days ago when we had the children spray the bushes in the farm right after planting the beans. Since there is not much time for manual weeding we decided to try that method.

And of course beans do not take so long to germinate just like many other crops, all you need is just 7days and a new life is seen sprouting

We are currently waiting for the grasses to give way so that the farm can be clean enough for the beans to grow well. It takes about two week for the herbicides to prove it's effectiveness on the grasses but we cannot wait for for that long before planting the beans. The time for planting is far spent. If the herbicides works to certain length and we are completely done with our rice plantings we can hence return here to help clear the farms.

I appreciate the facts that we do not grow only cereals but series or crops including tubers, one will have as much proteins as well as starch or anything you desire to eat. Although this is usually stressful but a little bit of everything is usually good and beautiful.
