The lesson learnt from completing the plus size blouse. Diy blouse and panel skirtπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ

Hello Hive.

Here is the final update and finished look of the plus size blouse I made for my sis after making an attempt to make outfits with large measurement. looking at it on her like this, I feel so much relieved that I can make bigger clothes henceforth.

Am going to make an assessment of the blouse so you can learn and keep note of it when making plus size outfit henceforth.

To anyone seeing this from far, its all perfect with no fault.
But a designer will tell you that the half length is too long.

The larger bust made me take that measurement this way shifting her half length from 16" to 20"

Making the flair 8" instead of a more better 11".

Now for a normal 16" half length while she wasn't pregnant, an increment of 2" to make this 18" will work perfectly and a flair(peplum( length of 10-11" would be preferable.

That's for the vertical measurement.

Every other horizontal measurement is large to contain her form.

The back half length should be reduced by 2" since the bust dart is also 2" and will shorten the length of the dress from the front.
And the blouse looks like I didn't cut out all the 2".

Every other pattern and sewing went perfect.

And i also made her a panel skirt to go with the blouse.

Well am not sure if these explanation were bogus or that you get my point, but someday as a designer you will come across project like this and may have to figure how to do it yourself.

Thank you for stopping by and see you all with your beautiful needlework project for today.

I definitely don't notice the flaws lol. But it is true, if you are used to making small sizes, large sizes have more things to take into account. I'm glad you learned new things ❀️.

I LOVE IT!!!
Just my colours (and my size too)

I love the way that the large frill around the waist actually balances out the look on her top half too!

WELL DONE!
So I love all colours, except gray! wink wink, nudge nudge...πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…
