This Was one statement I heard from friends in the wedding hall. A chief bridesmaid won't be wearing a short dress if you take a closer look, maybe something mermaid and flowing on the floor. But the upper part of my outfits made everyone to think that I was the chief brides maid at first sight

Have you ever gone to a party and become the talk of the town because of your outfit? That is exactly what happened to me this weekend. I wanted to make a mark as a fashion designer on my friend wedding ceremony and guess what, it didn't stop at just making a mark everyone thought that I was the chief bridesmaid hahaha.
This is the one way I had planned to advertise my skills and draw some potential clients for my fashion business.

I did get a lot of compliments from the young women and exchanged some contacts and got a business card too. One of the ladies said that she wants my exact dress design but in a blue color since blue was her favorite color, I was already imagining what blue will look like and I can't wait to dress her up I'm blue.

No one knows the trouble I went through to make this outfits, first I couldn't get the right fabric suitable since market was far away and my time was limited.

I made use of this stretch fabric which won't stay together and kept expanding and increasing the measurements while I stitched it.
I had too many errands to run and only had to sacrifice my sleep to make this. Since it was going to me a memorable time for me and this kind of opportunities rarely come I had to sew into the night.

There was no power supply and trying to make a perfect work as this will require that, using a local hot iron with cool pot was my worst nightmare and I had to be extra careful since the white material can get stained with charcoal.
So many sacrifice was put into this dress that will announce my business to the public and it was all worth it in the end when I got all of those compliments and people admiring my work.

Celebrations lies in the heart of Africans.

I can tell you that Nigerians and mostly African know how best to mark events like weddings, child dedications and so forth.
You will enjoy the music, food, cultural wears and the fun activities that goes on in this occasion.

We are good at celebrating people and their successes.
Most of the things people get on a platter of gold is hard to find here, luxury is uncommon and the moments we are able to break thorough some challenges to make a mark, this is accompanied by celebrations and rejoicing

Last Saturday was the blissful moments when my friend peterale got wedded to the love of his life

You can see us all dressed up in white and the common local Gele for our headgear. The occasion was a colorful one. The bridesmaids, couple and everyone danced to celebration the union of this couple and beginning of a new family.
