Forgotten photos and news of my garden.

Today I don't think I will write much about the type of succulent or cactus I am showing, most of them are known and actually the pictures in the post are to rescue some of the pictures I forgot over time, I think I took these pictures when the rainy season started but until today I decided that I liked how they were edited.

The truth is that my plants no longer look like that, with the rain they grew huge and I need to take new pictures, and since I am talking about how much they have grown, there are many people who want a little piece of my plants, in the whatsapp group of the nursery there are many people who want me to sell them some of my plants, so I have started to multiply my pots.

For example look at my Cremnosedum Little Gem, today I decided it was time to do some cutting on the main plant.

This is how they turned out, it is a succulent that grows fast so that is enough for them to fill the pot soon, which by the way I no longer have pots, I had to use disposable cups.

Lastly, the seedlings of mammillaria columbiana yucatanensis.

1663802179240.jpg

Astrophytum myriostigma quadricostatum most of them, there are some with 5 ribs, I even think I saw one with 6, but I need to check again because I have 3 other seedlings just like this one.

Astrophytum asterias I have 2 similar seedbeds, I remember I sowed 100 seeds, obviously not all of them hatched but I think at least 80% of them did.

In this seedbed I sowed 35 seeds, it is a mix that I received from different species, 34 seeds were born and some are already grafted and growing strong, but that is info for another post.

Thank you so much, now the problem is to grow them to adult size.

I would move them to their own pots once winter is over. It seems that they need calcium to keep a good structure and only grow in limestone soils in nature, so I recommend adding a little finely crushed eggshells to the growing medium. My babies I got are doing well now that it is spring

Autumn has just started here, but I am already thinking about putting them in individual pots or together, but the idea is to start giving them minerals, the weather here is a bit strange yes it can get cold but during the day it is still hot, I will see what to do over the week.

I got the little ones in autumn and needed to repot them - I found that they did very little for 6 months but now that the weather is warming up, they are starting to show signs of life and growth. The colder nights really are a signal for them to go to sleep
