Testing the external flash mounted on the camera for detail photography.
Sometimes we look at the accessories that other photographers have and we say, I won't be able to take that kind of pictures until I have it too, and so begins a long chain of consumerism where we believe we need the newest, most expensive and an accessory for everything we are going to do, and don't get me wrong, accessories are designed to fulfill a function, but creativity and poverty, are the mother of all inventions, welcome to this new post for the #monomad challenge.
Algunas veces observamos los accesorios que tienen otros fotógrafos y decimos, no podré hacer ese tipo de fotografías hasta que lo tenga yo también, y así inicia una larga cadena de consumismo donde creemos que necesitamos lo más nuevo, lo más costoso y un accesorio para cada cosa que vayamos a realizar, y no me lo tomen a mal, los accesorios se diseñan para cumplir una función, pero la creatividad y la pobreza, son la madre de todas las invenciones, bienvenidos a este nuevo post para el #monomad challenge.
The last few days I have been thinking a lot about macro photography, some time ago I bought the extension tubes to be able to do it, but being cheap and not having the metal bayonet mount, I realized that almost every time I used them, my sensor became quite dirty, so I have not used them anymore, I started thinking that I have the speedlight flash and that I should take more advantage of it, because if I think about buying a macro lens, I would prefer to buy a camera with better features than the one I currently have.
Los últimos días he estado pensando mucho en macro fotografía, hace tiempo compré los tubos de extensión para poder hacerla, pero al ser económicos y no tener la bayoneta de metal, me di cuenta de que casi siempre que los usaba, mi sensor quedaba bastante sucio, así que ya no los he usado, me puse a pensar que tengo el flash speedlight y que debería de sacarme más provecho, ya que si me pongo a pensar en comprar un lente macro, preferiría comprar una cámara con mejores prestaciones que la que tengo actualmente.
Today's pictures are not really macro pictures as such, full of millimeter details, but nevertheless they share the idea a little bit, they were taken with the 50mm lens, focusing at the minimum distance and using the external flash mounted on the camera, I did some tests with different aperture and flash power, so you can say which one you like more.
Las fotos del día de hoy realmente no son fotografías macro como tal, llenas de detalles milimétricos, pero sin embargo comparten un poco la idea, fueron tomadas con el lente 50mm, enfocando a la distancia mínima y utilizando el flash externo montado sobre la cámara, hice algunas pruebas con diferente apertura y potencia del flash, así que ustedes pueden decir cual les gusta más.
We don't see very strong shadows because the object is small, so you know what I mean, but not all the tests were correct, what I really wanted was to see the plant illuminated and the background darker, in this picture the illumination looks good, but I really wanted it as the cover photo.
No vemos sombras muy fuertes porque el objeto es pequeño, así que ya saben a lo que me refiero, pero no todas las pruebas fueron correctas, lo que en verdad quería era ver la planta iluminada y el fondo más oscuro, en esta fotografía la iluminación se ve bien, pero en realidad la quería como la foto de portada
Today the photos started from the last one to the first one, that is, the opposite of how I took them, so in this last one you can see the error when using the external flash, the light actually illuminated more the background part and the light on the plant was very poor, I solved it step by step with the small diffuser that was included in the package when I bought the flash.
Hoy las fotos empezaron desde la última hasta la primera, o sea, al contrario de como las tomé, así que en esta ultima pueden ver el error al usar el flash externo, la luz en realidad iluminaba más la parte del fondo y la luz sobre la planta era muy pobre, eso lo fui solucionando poco a poco con el pequeño difusor que venía incluido en el paquete cuando compré el flash.
I'm definitely going to take the flash for a walk more in the next pictures I take in the park, that's while I gather money to buy what I need to advance to the next level.
Definitivamente voy a sacar a pasear más a el flash en las siguientes fotografías que haga en el parque, eso mientras junto dinero para comprar lo necesario para avanzar al siguiente nivel.
